All I can say is that Hours of Darkness was the worst DLC that i have ever seen or had to pay for. I also thought it looked pretty close to a couple Arcade maps that I have played. Paid for something that I could or someone else could have dont for nothing. Honestly you should have focused on adding to the core game play, this made me sick.
I don't know if you paid for the DLC by buying the pass but if you didn't, I can only advise you to watch some videos before acquiring the next two DLCs. Fortunately I watched a lot of them before buying Hours of Darkness, and guess what, I didn't buy it at all. The fact that they added 2 re-skins, a bamboo stick and the old SVD made me so mad that I could not bring myself to waste any money on it. I'm not giving Ubisoft another penny until they show us some respect by adding some decent guns.
Agree with the last sentence! All forces should be focused on the core game! If all these efforts that have been made in the developing of multi-player, arcade, DLCs concentrate and focus on the core game.......game will be always much better! Just law of physics. My dream - Far Cry 6 without all those bagatelles!
I too am loving HoD - I think more so than the main game. I honestly don't think people get it. It seems like everyone wants a lorry-load of weapons following them everywhere. You're in the wilds of Vietnam, grabbing what weapons enemies drop and trying desperately to make the best of a very bad situation. I think the lack of weapons adds to this DLC - it's fitting and right that we have Jack **** at our disposal.
Honestly guys, go play Serious Sam - you'll feel far more at home with that.
1 - I did not state HoD could not be enjoyable and seriously there is nothing to "get" in it, it is just like every other time; different individuals will have different experiences and opinions after playing the same thing.Originally Posted by OurJud Go to original post
2 - How can the lack of weapons add to the DLC? That is just cheap, man! I don't wan't to get out of a cage with a silenced M60, I wanted a knife, for example!
3 - By what standards is it "fitting" and " right" that you find Vietcong heavy-gunners with american light machine guns and random advanced recurve bows in the middle of the jungle?
4 - I think you mistook "quality" for "quantity", therefore you didn't really understand my point. I don't want to carry around 10 big and powerful guns everywhere, I just wanted a Vietnam DLC to actually feature historically accurate guns, which I find quite reasonable, since they went to much greater lengths to make the world feel genuine. A knife, an M16 with its own sound effects, a PKM re-skin for the heavy gunners, a re-skinned 6P9, et cetera. How is that not getting it?
5 - Finally, your last statement is just absurd. If you don't like generous arsenals, why didn't you stick to Far Cry Primal?
I honestly just want Ubisoft to understand that some of us find that a bigger arsenal would make the game feel more enjoyable.
I'll accept you have a case with a few of your points there (knife, historically correct weapons etc) but the above quote is what I mean about not 'getting' the DLC. You've been captured by the bandits, then escape and make a run for it. Why/how on earth would you have a huge arsenal at your disposal?Originally Posted by EdenEnclave Go to original post
