Today, my friend [...] got banned. (I can not write which (most people are already celebrating anyway)). He was banished for 'harassment' in the PvP game. And maybe it would not be surprising if:
1. I would have received a ban for it, not him, because it was me, not him who harassed players in games (I do not do it anymore, but he never did).
2. It was a single case of receiving ban, and it is not because the best players from the best teams got ban. Such as: [...], [...] and [...] (I still can not use their names because I am prohibited by the regulations).
The question is why so many people got bans, and some even banned permanently for 'harassing' players, and Ubisoft can not send a single proof of it? They have to own some photos or conversations! and if they do not, they ban unjustly.
That's why I am asking for the matter to be referred as soon as possible.
This time I do not greet.
Ban usually get decided from collected player reports.
If your friend got some while you were the one who did the offence, then bad luck for your friend and at the end of the day, you (and anyone else in your group that did the harassment) are the cause of it. Be responsible to your banned friend and redeem your misdeeds yourself.
Ubisoft, or any other company, does not have to explain a ban, or prove why the ban was warranted, especially to people who are not the subject of the ban. Your friend can appeal his case, as I'm sure they have provided him with an email or customer support phone number, or something. But it's not going to be handled, or likely even addressed by UBI, on an open forum.
But after rereading your post, and you bringing up being the "best" at PVE, I imagine what has happened is that your friend was being abusive towards other players while playing coop, because they didn't want to play the game, the way he wanted them to, and had been reported several times.
1. - 'Kane_sg' agree with you. If it's my fault then I would like Ubisoft to punish me, not him.
2. -'Megalodon26' I know, but they did not answer, and I do not bring up the thread of his ban. The point is that many players were suddenly banned for the same (and most were in Top 100 of the first season). And no. He didn't played Coop.
I think some people don't realize how hurtful some words are. Using the "r" word repeatedly, using hate speech... sometimes these things get thrown around and people don't realize that it IS harassment and it is NOT ok to just speak like that to people.
If someone truly feels they have been banned unjustly, they are welcome to put in a ticket to customer support regarding the matter.
Now I'm not saying that no player has ever been banned by mistake, but I would guess that 99% of bans are warranted. Cheating has always existed in online gaming, yet I've seen a cheater actually admit to it, even when caught red handed. I saw a video a few weeks ago, where a twitch streamer accidentally closed her game mid stream, exposing cheat software running on her PC, and her first reaction when she realized she was busted, to blame her "friend", who had been using her computer earlier. And that isn't even addressing the issue that hateful, bigoted and racist people, often feel empowered let their true feelings out, through te internet, in forums and online gaming .
So when someone comes on complaining that they were wrongfully banned, I have a hard time taking them a their word.
