Yea I can tell you don't get it. I never keep a grudge past letting people deal with the consequences of not helping me. I've played the game since the beta so I have a good grasp of battle awareness using the tech of map, kill cams, enemy/friendly tabs ect. Not all the time but a lot of the time I know when a teammate screws me over for whatever reason. When the consequences of screwing me over come back to hunt them I will ignore their plea for help.
Example. at the beginning of a match on sanctuary bridge one person stayed behind to boost our home zone, another decided to go capture the enemy teams home zone....which left myself and another teammate to fight off 4 enemies at B zone. Well I left the booster to get slaughtered after I spawned.
Another game on Sanctuary bridge I had two teammates stay on homezone and only myself and another went to fight the first battle at b. Our teammates where hoping to play what I call chicken-little (its when you let your teammates wound the enemy so before they die so you can get the kill given you give enough distance for the revenge to cycle out). I let them get slaughtered for doing it.
Another example: On high fort zone A: I arrived to help my teammate with an enemy because I was near by after I got done killing one. Apparently they were having an "honorable" fight and I was interrupting. The enemy got revenge and took me out because my teammate refused to fight him with me. when I spawned after getting killed I saw two more enemies arrive at A and that "honorable" teammate was now calling for help....I ignored the call.
On river fort I was fighting two characters on B and got them both close to death so I called for reinforcements because I knew a guy nearby boosting C home zone. Well they killed me and in the kill feed no more than 15 feet away I could see the teammate booster just doing emots. He called for help and I answered but only to defend c zone again and kill the enemies...I would have preferred my teammate to die...which he did right before I arrived so the enemies were still as unhealthy as I left them.
another example: Booster on zone A in temple garden just sat back and watched his whole team die on be at the beginning of the game so he could play chicken little. Well my team killed off many of them but didn't execute them before we died so they got revived by the sole surviving enemy of the B battle. They Then took the fight to A. Their was a call for help that I didn't answer. This happened time and again this game so I messaged the person asking why he was boosting at the beginning of the game and he replied that he liked fighting multiple opponents and that I wouldn't understand. Well I quit the game and tried a new lobby but got the same one only on the other team of the booster. Of course the first thing I did with my Shugoki was head to A level and he was their and I beat the hell out of him. During the match another shugoki on my team started following me to A and we just started holding it down while our two other teammates killed everyone else as it appeared I was on a very good team. Well Me and this other Shugoki beat this guy so badly he refused to fight us alone. At the end of the match the boosters score was severely negative: I went 10/2. I wanted to be mean and send him a message of salt saying "I thought you liked fighting multiple opponents alone?" but I decided to be nice an leave him alone as I to hate fighting two shugokis and he was a skilled fighter just a horrible teammate.
WOW. I almost choked on my cereal reading this. You would genuinely rather sabotage your OWN teams chances of winning rather than help a guy that didn’t help you? Possibly the most childish and dumb thing I’ve ever heard. Do you also like to score own goals in soccer or partake in shooting yourself in the foot on ocassion?
Listen, I get it. Those examples you gave, Yep, I’d be annoyed my team mate didn’t help too, very annoyed.. You could try messaging him and offereing advice after the game (never usually goes well) but for gods sake don’t sabotage your own team out of spite.
