    FC5 editor forums are deserted

Just check the last time someone commented on this forum and you 'll understand. Maybe its my timezone, but I keep seeing 5-7 hours between any post in the forums. I guess the facebook community is all that is left now. Maybe it ll catch up on 5th. Anyhow, its nice to talk with others in here so BE MORE ACTIVE PEOPLE(s)!

People stopped creating maps for a company that caters to 12 year olds. Nobody wants to spend hundreds of hours making maps to play nuketown and shovel dodgers on repeat.

On the upside there's fewer mopes beefing about how the latest update has ruined their lives.

    Also, it's summertime.

    Aye mate, me either.
I check in almost daily, but since i need to bloody login EVERY Fin time...i cant be bothered!
Same as in the editor. Ive got two incomplete maps, and when i go to work on them...i just end up looking around them. Then log out. Cant be bothered. Why bother?
I think ubi things people love painting all those generic shapes individually lol. Not only that..theyre no longer in alphabetical order
Hopefully the game will be upgraded, cos atm, i have little interest

With all the "improvements" ubi have made, i actually think the release version was better lol.
Its always the same...one step forward, three steps back.
The only decent update, was to differentiate friend from foe. Which lets be totally honest here, is a very basic need that should have been noticed before launch!

    In other news:
Anybody hyped about WW3 by The farm 51 studios?
I am, and also not. If it was on Xbox...id be hyped up bad
The Battlefield killer? I hope so...Dice have dropped the ball they worked so hard to get, catering to pre-teenies and casuals. Maybe this game will get them back to the good days!

I just got back to making maps again. But yeah they need a server browser and option to host public and respawning vehicles and at least a new game mode like conquest or domination. Private lobbies are hard to populate. Most I get is 5 people testing a map in private. Public still have to put time in to get the odds rolling in your favor to pick maps.

Its true, i have moved on, or moved back actually, to Dying Light mapping.
Loved FC5 mapping, but, the sp options are simply to slim or better said not there.
And because i only make sp maps i had to move away from this game and editor.
Also how the whole server things goes, o well, we all know by now the faults that
there are in this whole system.

I will probably make one more map with FC5, one day, but for now i have left the
whole community and game. Before i checked in daily here, but last time i was here
was about 6 weeks ago or so, that says enough i guess.

    Sorry,
    Leon

I still check daily, but yeah these forums aren't very active. Steep had more active forums three months after release. Honestly, there are a lot of other games competing for my attention, and creating detailed maps just takes too long without a pay-off.

I have spent 80+ hours on my most recent map and I am only around 60% done (yes, I knew it was an ambitious project when I started). I have pretty limited gaming time (~6 hours a week), and mapping is beginning to feel like work. The only reason I still map is because I want to finish what I have invested so much time in. But it really isn't fun anymore. Couple that with the glitches that affect published maps (specifically the terrain and hole ones) and I am really not very motivated to continue. I am not sure I will ever finish this map. Sucks but that is life.

I would look at the forums more if the MP was worth playing.

I am assuming that the matchmaking part of the MP was designed by a female since it is so intrinsically feminine. We need a masculine lobby system.

I'm not being sexist, but some truths are universal and they are masculine. Fire is universal, very different to electric lights, every star burns. every fire burns, every candle burns. The truth of the fire is the star. The truth of the star is the light. The truth of the light is the candle or the fire.

The universal order of things - the pattern of order, the way of good design, maps should follow the right pattern.

The MP has been made for women and kids. It is soft.

The food is not there. I won't play it. It is a waste. It has no protein.

People say don't waste food there are people starving in Africa. There are people starving for Africa. Food is for the man, not man for the food. The MP should be for the players, not players for the MP.
