FAR CRY NEEDS To BE CHALLENGING!

Wow so be playing FC3 Classic Edition.

Playing on Master Difficulty. No upgrades, 2 blocks of health.

    Different freakin game!

ITS GREAT ! This is the level of challenge I want to have in FC5....
I’ve even died a few times!! Admittedly only when careless.

But enemies are more lethal, you’re not a bullet sponge and actually go down pretty quick.

    AND NO REGENERATING HEALTH!! Whoop!!!

But because of how FC’s old upgrade system was set up it allows you customise your experience. Playing only with 2 blocks of health for example, and not upgrading ammo pouches makes scavenging for bullets far more relevant.

    Totally different experience guys...

FC games used to be way more challenging....

Please Ubisoft - I would love to come back to FC5, if the was a Survival Mode, or extreme difficulty setting.

I’m doing this on my second play through of FC5 and have also limited myself to two weapon slots plus a hand gun. It’s the way to play.

I had to temporarily switch to “Normal” to escape the top of John’s silo that was just madness. Otherwise I really enjoy the added challenge and when I die, it’s because I did something stupid.

I use the bow 95% of the time but also have a shot gun or assault rifle for close quarters conflicts (primarily animals) but I’m getting good at taking down bears with the bow before they reach me. With explosive arrows I can even take out planes and helicopters (not realistic) but satisfying.

Challenging means not only not regenrating health and "one shot" kill - it includes many components. The breath of the game should be challenging. It means - smarter AL ( not second humans, but more or less trained in simple combat techniques enemies), no ownerless vehicles everywhere, no weapons giving us tactical advantage over enemies (if we have some advance weapon our enemies also must have it. Better if they have more advanced weapon, but if we kill them and loot - there must be only few bullets - just to lick our lips.), enemies should be always stronger (it increases the tension and atmosphere). To cover the distance from point A to point B , to reach another point, must be challenging also! Less marks - more obstacles -more puzzles! One thing when you have marks, maps and many other "wiping asss" inventions and another when you reaching the point without them. Real adventure! So.....making the game challenging is very important issue. It includes many components and all of them must be discussed here in many threads!

Abandoned, ownerless vehicles everywhere.......even two.... three.....in one spot! (We know it was made deliberately for not to wander for a long time) But it kills immersion! Must be invented something new! Not so anti-immersive, not so anti-realistic!

And these red explosives......everywhere.....How shall our enemy use this machinegun during intense shooting, for example, knowing that behind him is explosive?! So unrealistic! So childish!

This is the problem though, you can’t customise the difficulty in the same sense in FC5.

The previous games did not have health regeneration - Health was divided into blocks. In FC5 your entire health is one bar and it regenerates so aggressively you’re practically immortal!
Plus on HARDEST DIFFICULTY SETTING - the enemies just arnt as lethal. And as most enemies go down with one shot - firefights can be over in seconds.

Even when I am only using a Bow and Pistol... the game is way too easy,

I really like the game - so I’m desperate for Ubisoft to address this issue by giving us the option of a HARDER DIFFICULTY and the option of disabling regenerating health!

I think the very act if healing added a layer to the previous games. Even if everything else stayed the same and all they did was to changethe auto heal to manual heal, the game wouldplay rather differently.

Whats amusing here is far cry has gone with auto heal. Now i like CoD, but I understand what peeps mean sometimes when making a comparison. Many would say the auto heal thing is a CoD like approach. The funny bit! CoD blops4 will have manual healing.
If CoD is doing what far cry was doing, perhaps its a slight (very slight but still) indication that far cry was doing it right in the first place.

I play FC5 with 2 weapon slots - rifle and hand gun.
it's not real that you're carrying a bunch of guns
And in Arcade multiplayer i never do not run jumping, i just run.
This is kid play stile to jump like horse

Point is the games too easy on HARD.

Health Regen has ruined this game.

The bizarre thing is in ARCADE you have the option to turn it off........
