I agree the rubber banding is a bit much.
If I do a race aimed at car level 100 and win by a second or two, then if I come back and race the same race and my car level is 200 then i should be able to win by more than a second or two again.
This is the race game equivalent of Elder Scrolls Obilvion's enemy scaling where, when you got high level, you would run into random thieves on the road with the most expensive weapons and armor.
There has to be better methods of keeping the game challenging without resorting to this type of programming trick.
I would have thought this was all about bad players whining over a game till I did the Los Angeles Hypercar Race and had half way through the race in the lead by 13 seconds and no dots on my rear on the mini map and not slowing down three AI just popped up and lead rammed me off the road. Then I was able to catch up and passed me ramming a truck in front of me causing me to place 6th. I am 245 in a 230 Race. This killed the fun in the game real fast.
