Hello,
I was invited by a friend for the The Crew 2 Closed Beta. He can play the beta on two platforms - on PC and PS4. Now I got an invitation email for the beta which I accepted. He couldn't decide the platform I was playing on (PS4). So the algorithm just send me an invite for the PC Beta although I am playing on PS4 (and as i said before - he plays on PS4 too, so this should work).

If he can play on both, then it would mean he was invited for both platforms, you can't play on multiple platforms with the same invite. It sounds like he's invited you through PC, which would only give you access to the Beta on PC.
He would need to send you an invite through the PS4 Beta access for you to get access there.
