Cheers for the feedback about this! This is definitely something that we're looking into as a team right now. We understand that there are some really intrusive elements of the UI (such as the breaking text), and although I can't give any confirmation right now, it's being investigated for sure.

One thing that I would mention though, in regards to the comments about it being easy to fix, I wouldn't underestimate making changes in a live game. We can't just flick a switch and turn things off, we'd have to find a way of having it notable but less intrusive, and then implement that into the game itself. These things can take time, no matter how simple they seem.

    Best regards,

    Jim.
Hey Jim, cheers for the reply mate.

Even though there’s no solid confirmation, you sharing with us that it is been investigated does get my spirits up a little, considering that I again died today because of flashing white signs and breaking stuff appear all over my screen in the middle of a fight.

And right you are on things taking time even though they could appear simple. I can’t pretend to know everything, hell even anything, about programming and coding for computer games and how hard or easy it is to make changes to the game. I just see it as it should be a relatively easy and quick task compared to the other work that’s needed in the game such as balancing or map design. With those two things, the team would have so many variables to consider. “Will the community find this fun, while providing a challenge and not been easy? Yes, they do have fun and it is a challenge, but is it too much of a challenge or not enough? L Does this hero have moves that are too strong, or too weak and what should we do to change that?” These situations I can totally understand taking time to decide, then the actual time needed to create then implement said changes. But with this, there aren’t really any variables other than two. The community doesn’t like it and wants it changed, or it’s fine as it is. Solutions have already been provided before, so it’s really a matter of the team deciding which one they like best and sticking with it, so I really can’t see it taking as long as balance changes or other things in game. But like I said, I’m no expert and could be wrong. The developer team really should have done something about this already, I mean I can remember complaints about the UI been to distracting or covering up the screen from as far back as Season 1-2, with me been one of the complainers lol. I didn’t expect to still be complaining about it a year later.

    All the best to you.

Would it be possible to simply give us a "disable breaking text popup" in the options menu? That would solve it and should be a simple option to implement. We already have one to disable effects.

The Victory banner when you won a match covers the hero and the right part of the screen as well. Would be nice if you saw the hero when you emoted.

Jim, no one is asking for a whole overhaul, literally all that needs to be done for now is either MOVE, REMOVE, or RESIZE the symbols/banners in question. If this is such a challenge for your team, then I'm not surprised at the current state of the game.

Sorry for the passive aggressiveness, but this is so symptomatic for the rest of the issues. SMALL things take forever to change, while GAME CHANGING content such as heroes don't seem to spend much time on the honing table at all.

anyway, thanks for the reply. While I nothing will be done, because the team is way to busy creating the 24.386th battle outfit, that nobody cares about.

Fix this. If it’s text getting in the way then just change it to “”. Fixed. I’ll send the bill.
