    Remove screen clutter!

Please Ubisoft, this has been asked so many times but can you seriously make changes to the on screen clutter that occurs in-game? I was just fighting an intense Dominion match that was going down to the wire, both teams breaking but mine only just was. The massive banner that covers 1/3rd of my screen and stays there for several seconds caused me to loose sight of my opponent and not realise he was reviving his fallen ally which ended up with me dying and the match been lost, when we got that close to winning. I don’t mind loosing to good fights like that, but when that happens and causes me to die I’m pretty annoyed because there was nothing I could do about it. This is a quality of life change that has been requested before, many times. Next time I’m aware there is community questions on the Den I’ll be posting this again.

If you won’t remove the breaking banner, at least make it smaller. Make it so it doesn’t go the length of the screen and make the white transparent so we can actually see through the banner and our opponents. Playing with game volume you can already clearly tell when a team is breaking, so the minority of players such as those who have hearing impairment or choose not to have game volume on would be effected. But this is easily changed by making the banner possible to toggle on of off.

Yup, I feel your pain, mate. I've been screwed over by the skull flashes and banners in the end game enough to want them gone.

I know there are UI options, but I don't think any of them remove those notifications. Typically, UI options only give the option to remove the useful things :|

This definitely needs to be addressed. Been a problem from day one.

There's no suitable option which removes just the annoying, huge banners that flash across the screen, as Jazz117Volkov notes.

Yes please. I'm honestly surprised the screen clutter has never been addressed. I expected it to go after the beta was over but here we are, a year and more into the game's life and the screen clutter is debilitating at worst and highly inconveniencing at best. All you really need is the guy shouting, "Your team is breaking [wind]" with maybe some small transparent text somewhere at the left of the screen.

Cheers for replying everyone. I’m suprised at how it hasn’t been addressed yet either, considering the amount of time it’s been requested and with mods passing the messages on.

@Jazz117 I find it peculiar how you can choose to remove options of the UI but not these breaking banners. If I’m remembering right (something very hard to do on Sunday mornings lol) didn’t Ubi add in those UI adjustment options some time in the past? If so, wouldn’t the groundwork for getting rid of these banners already be in place and turn this into a 1 man fixing job that shouldn’t take all that long to implement? I mean, this is a thing that’s been annoying players since release with changes requested since release, but here we are just like things were at release. Come on Ubisoft, we don’t want but need these quality of life changes to make our gaming experience much more enjoyable and feel like more of it is on our control than not.

Another issue for me is black bars at the bottom and the top when I lock on. It makes it harder to see the enemy if I'm fighting on non-flat grounds..Not sure if it's just me.

Yes, I've made a few posts over the past year about this. I even showed screenshots of when those giant banners popup, completely blocking the person I'm finding, giving them a huge advantage and sometimes getting me killed. Ubisoft doesn't care. They've never responded to any of the posts and have made zero changes. Depending on the camera angle when those banners popup, it can block over half of your view. It's not that surprising though given the history of how this game and the devs have played out over this year of game life.

Which really baffles me is that this doesn’t seem like it would be a hard or frustrating thing to implement, compared to the other tasks they have this should be a cake walk. It’s seriously something that needs changing because it annoys the hell out of everyone and benefits no one.

    Heya folks,

Cheers for the feedback about this! This is definitely something that we're looking into as a team right now. We understand that there are some really intrusive elements of the UI (such as the breaking text), and although I can't give any confirmation right now, it's being investigated for sure.

One thing that I would mention though, in regards to the comments about it being easy to fix, I wouldn't underestimate making changes in a live game. We can't just flick a switch and turn things off, we'd have to find a way of having it notable but less intrusive, and then implement that into the game itself. These things can take time, no matter how simple they seem.

    Best regards,

    Jim.
