Hey everyone,
Been playing The Crew 2 Beta and so far I am loving it but the downside for me is when it hits night in-game the headlights are way too dim to see on road especially when you're driving on the country roads that don't have street lights it's impossible to drive, Other players have mentioned this about the headlights too, Please adjust the headlight brightness so that we can ACTUALLY see the roads in dark areas!
Thank you!
I felt this is mainly because headlights are always in low-beam.
I'm not sure what happens if the headlights directs a little bit higher position.
Though, reflection of traffic signals and reflection of headlights seems not to have a large difference. Despite the traffic signals are too strong, headlight may be a little bit stronger.
Graphics has been dramatically improved from previous The Crew and I really like The Crew 2, but there may be some rooms for improvements in the balances of light strength.
The issue is, how this game generally handles lights of cars.
- Some cars only have low beam. If you honk (which means the high beams are flashing aswell) there is only a small flickering visible. Nothing that would help you seeing in the dark.
- Some cars have highbeam, when its dark. If you again activate the high beams by honking, those lights suddenly are swithed off, as long as you honk. Again: No difference in light.
In a game, where you can make your way through the USA completely offroad, if you'd like to - AND in a game, in which the offroad cars are driving around with so massively big lights on the roofs and so on, you should really think, you were able to youse those lights. But no. They won't even activate during the night. Those big, fat lights are just there, not serving any purpose at all. Right next to the damn weak LoD, this is the absolutly worst in a game about cars and offroad racing. Forza Horizon 3 did it absolutely wrong regarding the vehicle lights and I gave the second part of The Crew a real chance. There is just so much exactly the same as in Crew 1 (even those god damn bugs!!!), and I am most likely not going to buy it, because the game just has no new experience to offer. And yes, working with vehicle lights would have been ultra awsome and a big reason for me, to buy the game. I am waiting for an open world game, which does at least some important things right since ever. Seems like I have to wait a bit longer.
