    Highlander in dominion

    I hadn't played shugoki in a while, so I decided to load him up in dominion, saw the other team had three highlanders. Already knew I was screwed, but decided to give it a shot as I'd never actually used shugoki against highlander before. Oh my f*** if it isn't the most frustrating matchup in the game. Literally everything shugoki can do is useless against highlander, and forget his 50/50 kick/grab, shugoki doesn't even dodge the damn kick the majority of the time. I get lucky if my armor is up, because it just shaves that off rather than stunning me. People say valkyrie is the worst character, but even a good valk can be a bit tricksy. At the same skill level, there is nothing that shugoki can do besides turtle for 18 damage (I think) parry punishes.

    This is 40% complaining about highlander not being fun or even fair to fight, and 60% a cry out for shugoki's rework.

    They over buffed HL attack stance. He does ridicilious damage now. Kick and grab is guaranteed almost. If you are OOS it’s guaranteed because only way to get away is to roll away. If you are against a wall fighting HL kick is also guaranteed. Every HL in dominion hyper armor heavy into kick heavy kick heavy kick heavy.

It takes most of his HA and safety away.
    there's new tech, that after he blocks a light, he can shuffle back into mid distance extremely quick giving him the space he needs. pretty awesome

    He gets godlike dodge recoveries to punish every attack you try to throw out to break is offensive stance.
    No saying it is a problem, just saying how that works.

    HL has a lot going for him. Counter crash unblockables guaranteed grabs hyper armor. Its not sensible playing. Its spamming. Raider tap and zone isn’t guaranteed but HL grab and kick on close range and against a wall is. That’s the problem. Most of us play dominion right. I just fought a Kensei and HL 2v1. As soon as I popped revenge (considering how revenge is useless at this game now) I got kicked into heavy kick into heavy 4-5 times and there is nothing I can do. I don’t mind dying against good play etc but it’s just boring.

    No ofence mate, but if some highlander got u with kick + heavy, repeat combo, ur probably not such good as u think. Even with Kensei with his dodge attack

    Once again, sorry, but this is my opinion...

    Me as Highlander main (8 rep before buff, next 8 after buff = 16 total) i have to do tons of combinations and mindgames to get ur Kensei in good players hands. Agree kick feint to grab is hard to react, but u have 3 ways to counter it. 1st. roll out. 2nd fast light backwards and 3rd dodge attack. Do u think its low posibilities?

    In his off stance, he is rly beast but for what cost? he have NO DEFENCE and NO CGB. This is greatest disadvantage in whole game, so he have to get something from that. And his def stance? pretty useless now.

    Just practice, go training mode, set his moves and train how against his off moves... or find some buddy to train mate...
