Forum spam bots are out of hand! | Forums

As the title says, this is getting ridiculous. As if it wasn't bad enough that during the late night hours your forums are spammed with pirating ads and escort services, but then we are told by community mods not to mention this again? (And of course you see how well that went over.)
But the straw to break our collective backs comes with this new insurgence of bots that decide to spam ACTUAL POSTS in which players are trying to have debates over.

Enough is enough, this had gone on for longer than it should have with little to no progress seen or heard of. It's been mending and confirmed that your other forms on this same site find suffer from this issue, and I for one, would like to know why and what you plan to do about it.

I agree with you the spam bots are getting ridiculous now and still nothings been put in place to prevent this and if there is then its not very good, I've never seen this with other forums before so why can't ubi fix this.

Yup, the most discouraging thing about it came when a moderator flat out told us we weren't allowed to talk about it and to stop bringing it up. It's like they have committed to not addressing the problem at the highest level. And that only hurts three active mods like Jurassic, Insulin and Noty that do such a great job of maintaining their respective posts. It's not fair to them that they have to come in at the start of their day, and instead of browsing the lists of posts made that they have missed, they have to go through and manually delete whatever spam there is just to get the active threads back on the first 3-4 pages. That's almost 15-20 posts per page! I'm with you, I've never seen a forum this infected.

Of the 3 forums sites that I participate in, this is the ONLY one I've seen with Spam-Bots (Overwatch and Destiny 2, I've not seen one single bot on the forums in the last half a year) Theres gotta be something that they can do....

I don't think they will, not unless we force their hand by some form of community call to action.
Hell, I'd be willing to spear head that one, I've got little else better to do. :P

We're currently trying to work on the problem, as the spam bots seem to flood into the For Honor section (as it's the first forum that appears on our site). Hopefully we can combat this soon, and I assure you we're doing our best to resolve it, for both of our sakes (clicking so many times in one day can't be healthy for me ;D).

I have two problems with this statement (neither of which are directed at you, specifically) 1: we've been told this for over a year now, and 2: this isn't a new problem. It's not like spam bots just came into being last month, they've been around for as long as the internet has, so solutions are out there.
At this point in time seeing responses like "hey, we are working on it." Just don't cut it anymore. I feel I can speak for quite a few of us when I say, we would like to see something a little more tangible.
Again, none of this angst is directed at you mods. if anything I feel as bad for you guys as I do my fellow lurkers, as you all are pretty much in the same boat as us. And the lack of attention this problem had redirected as only served to further discord between the community.

Alustar is right, this has gone on far too long and is just beyond a joke now. I can’t thibk of how many times this has been brought up and the same BS lies have been told, which would have been sent down from high up in Ubisofts hierarchy. Pretty much given up hope that this will ever get fixed, as well as other forum bugs that still occur. It’s not the Mods fault they have to deal with this rubbish day in and day out as well as say what they would have been told to say to us. It’s been said so many times that there are heaps of ways to combat the spam, it’s halfway through 2018 for Christ’s sake and we have to deal with spam bots on a multi-billion dollar companies official forums. We just want a definite answer.

the spam bots aren't not even family friendly ads its 18+ rated ads and surely that use calls for immediate action?
