....and in part snubbing (IMO) the hardcore segment of their community that stuck around by telling us a HC mode simply won't happen. ....they won't even consider it.

However, they did throw us a bone by acknowledging the demand from this part of their fan base by stating that they plan to include more HC elements in Custom Match and a lobby system. ....but we get absolutely no word on what, when or even if they are still considering these things after they were first mentioned many months ago.

....just one other reason some of us gave up on PvP.

Yes I forgot to mention that in my previous post, that is something that has been longed for by us HC fans, I honetly do not know why they wouldnt implement that, or even consider it. When I play games that have a HC mode that is literally the ONLY mode I play. I hate this 93 rounds from an assault rifle to kill someone crap (I know I over exaggerated that).

Not even the mods are around on the forums anymore. Makes me thing very soon they are going to update us on "hey all you cool cats that paid our severance by buying the second year pass we wanna thank you and humbly apologize but the servers will be shut down next week and there will be no refunds"

So many mistakes that Ubisoft made. The addition of "New content" that isnt new at all and is all the same as everything else.

Its a Shame Ubisoft. I waited 7 months not very patiently might I add for an incredible multi player experience. When the beta finally dropped, I thought this was it, limited drones, barely anyone using athletic sprinter, mines where needed and classes that made sense.

It is so unfortunate that Ubisoft literally did everything they could in their power to kill this game. My only question is why? Why would they waste money and manpower to ruin a game of this calliber?
i got one better for you , how in the hell do you drop the ball on promoting this when the thing had its own movie!!:

I dont know who was managing the marketing and promotion but some slaps need to go around . . .

Yeah, same here. I much prefer HC modes.

......and that's another thing. HC modes are nothing new or unique. Some very popular shooters that have similar components (e.g. class based, perks, tech, marking, etc.) in their PvP titles also include HC modes in their games.

I don't think it's a matter of balancing (because I think it's obvious that it can be done) but more a resistance to compromising on removing or adjusting elements in their game.

Personally, I think Custom Match could be invaluable in collecting data on what fans prefer. The only problem is that without a matchmaking system (or lobby in this case) many of us simply can't gather up enough friends at any given time to play.

    .....c 'est la vie.

Now I know that most people dont care about what the Streamers are doing but realistically, they are the only ones still advertising the game. And when they leave, I can assure you, you will see the player base begin to dwindle even more.

You can probably point your finger to multiple reasons as to why GW is on its dying breath but personally I directly blame Ghost Wars downfall to one thing... the direct lack of communication from the Devs. Communication in the past was spotty at best and now that they moved the updates to quarterly, the lack of information / teasers / ANY INFO AT ALL has killed what should have been an outstanding title for Ubi.

You cant expect players to sit around in the dark with nothing more than "soon", "summer" and "we dont have any additional information" for 3 months and not get frustrated and or bored. Im afraid that even if this "summers" patch is AMAZING, the Player base has already moved on. Sure we may see an slight increase in Players after that patch as that always happen, but after 3 days, 4 days maybe a week, you will see the population dorp back to what it is now or lower as there are quite a few amazing games set to release in the next few months.
I agree 1000000% with this. I have been an outspoken critic of Ubisoft's intentional secrecy concerning new content. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this next update is the last one, because I don't think churning out new content is going to generate enough profit to justify continuing to invest resources into the game.

Furthermore, they have justified only three balance changes (to my knowledge): sniper changes in the first patch, removing the tech's bubble, and taking the medic's mines away. A couple notes there:
-their justification for changing the tech was to "increase the effectiveness of the class," which isn't really a justification at all, as the tech was very effective pre-nerf. Maybe too effective, which is why they might have changed it.

-We received a justification for the medic change from Keeba five days ago. This patch was released a MONTH AND A HALF ago. Why would you even bother telling us at this point when you haven't told us the first month and a half of Spec Ops 1?

Releasing an unfinished product was the death blow for this game. No PvP, no end-game content, and bad DLC's is not a good look. People achieved 100% completion and stopped playing the game, because there is nothing to do after that. Sure, Tier One Mode was released, but over three months after release, which is PLENTY of time for people to beat the snot out of the game and never play it again. If there is little to no replay value in the game, then it isn't a complete product in today's industry.

I also stand with you in saying that lack of communication is horrible for the game. We know nothing, there is ZERO hype, and the next update is slated for Summer, which could mean we will not get an update until September at the latest. Hype doesn't generate itself, and if Ubisoft doesn't tell us anything, then what's the point of being excited for the next update? The only thing that has been said concerning the next update was from Keeba, when she noted that more battle crate items will be released with the summer patch. In other words, the only thing we know about Spec Ops 2 is that we have more items to spend our money on. That's not very exciting.

Additionally, while I appreciate Keeba and Insulin reading through all of our forum and reddit posts, I am not entirely confident that all of our information gets passed through, or even considered. We would love to hear feedback from the devs concerning some of our ideas. It honestly doesn't feel like we are being heard. Sure, we are a minority of the player base, and sure, Ubisoft has implemented some requested changes, but I can't step back, ponder over all that Ubisoft has done, and say that they have done a good job with this.

Leaves and chain-link fences are still bulletproof, game chat still is buggy (as much as I hate to admit it), the PvP experience is unbalanced, no hype for the game generated by Ubisoft, no information regarding the future, and lastly, no vision. We have no idea where this game is going. None.

What's the deal with that? You want to sell a year 2 pass, yet you tell us nothing about year 2? That's shady.

Me too. I am just waiting on Sandstorm hopefully they will make some appearance on E3 although I strongly doubt. Ubi titles have just been a huge disappointment.

Next time UBI will remember something : listen the try hard players unstead of the ******ed asking drones and unbalancement , if today that game ( pvp ) is a failure it's not about the commercials or how bad they promoted theiir game , it's all about unfixing unbalancements and not listening the people that have been asking fixes !

This game ever had an huge potential , but devs prefer to remain stuttborn , .

Only thing i can say is RIP to all those paid the S2 pass

They definitely will be at E3 this year but as I mentioned earlier, the announcement yesterday stated the console versions will now be delayed until first half of 2019 while PC will be out in Sept 2018.
