What are some original ideas for more though? That aren't too similar to ones we already have.

Serious question, I'm wondering whats left. I thought about a 2handed warhammer for knights before, but even that would be similar to Shugo.

Devil's advocate to the new faction theories, we don't have a second culture tied to the Samurai yet (we have Romans with Knights and Scots/Celtic with Vikings, all Samurai have is these are an offshoot to what we are).

I have a pet theory that there is someone else involved though, the campaign specifically says that there is a civilisation that built settlements that neither the Knights, Vikings or Samurai did, I believe that is significant, I just have no idea how they plan to use it and against my point above the Samurai were forced out of their home and into the Myre by something.

We know that the Samurai encountered multiple different cultures on their way to The Myre. Likely fought with them and learned from them. They were forced to abandon Japan for the same reason why the Knights had to expand East from their home in the West. Starvation and destruction.

They kind messed it with the PK ... if she was only with daggers there would still be space for a dual sword knight.
But there are still lots of things left: halberd (not poleaxe), warhammer or mace (with shield), sword and shield in knight variant ... not even to go more into the asian cultures.

If I were to hazard a guess... I'd go with either chinese or arabian based on sword and sleeve? Pommel shape I think closer suggests one of these 2?

There already are endless memes because of For Honor. I cringed a little when Pope said we are a “meme loving” community. I feel that many community members wouldn’t take a pirate faction seriously because of this too. But I guess only time will tell here.
