Options to skip cutscenes, especially "capture party" – petition for a solution

I have asked the following question to Ubisoft Support:
    May 29, 2018 at 08:41 PM EDT
Any plans to make Far Cry 5's cutscenes, especially "capture party", skippable? It seems that the vast majority of players is getting sick of those features and for good reasons.

LuisBP @Ubisoft Support kindly answered (translation from Spanish):
In relation to your message, I inform you that I will forward your request to the corresponding team so that you can take it into account in future patches. I also recommend that you post this petition in the forum so that more people can join and reach the developers' ears first.
    =====
So, my dear fellow players, please join my petition and let's hope that we get this implemented soon.

I'm on PC and I skipped everyone of the cutscenes. I don't want to watch a movie while playing a game.

Do you mean skipping cutscenes in Far Cry 5? That would be great! How did you skip "capture party" cutscenes?

Yes... in FC5. You can't skip being captured, only the cutscenes after by pressing ESC. There may be a few cutscenes you can't skip but I did almost all of them.

Yes, and that is the real problem - I wrote especially "capture party" because those make the game quite impossible to play beyond certain points. Alright, people who like this kind of fun may have it optionally and even get rewarded for their high speed shooting or resistance to foggy drugs. But forcing players to do that is truly unacceptable.

and dozens more of similar complains. Just google "far cry 5 capture party".

The forced capture routine is a stupid idea to put in a FPS game. Annoying too.

I use a trainer during the capture, so it takes maybe a minute running through with 1 shot kill.

Would be great to skip the intro, too. If you want to start it all again and have to watch it all again just to press ENTER to put the handcuffs on Joseph Seed and to press W to walk from the helicopter to the chruch and back, it feels really annoying.

After playing thruough the game once to finsih the story [and only for the uplay points].

I have not gone back to the game because of this very issue.

I just tried the game now just to see if set up has changed and it has not, as a result its back to fc4 for me to rehash an already many times completed game.

I also will not be buying New Dawn until i know that they have reverted to skippable vids and free choice gameplay

On the PS4 game-pad, press the "OPTION" button, then press Back ("Circle") and the prompt "SQUARE" will appear in the lower right game screen next to the word SKIP..................

Note: this does not work for Jacob's test, except on the cut-scenes leading up to actual "test".
