I have really enjoyed the ability to customize the AI characters. Thank you for adding the HK416 with the short barrel to the game! I like that friendly fire has been added to the game as well. - Bipods for LMG's and sniper rifles. They are an absolute must.
- Option to choose the loadout for AI team mates, however, only within a certain weapon set for each character. Ubisoft, please fix Ghost mode with this simple step: When dying, you lose all skills, but not the game progression. The operative dies but the mission goes on with another operative, who has 0 skills but mission progression and found guns etc. are intact. You completed missions and killed enemies, why should that be reset? You just lose the operative. This is the possibility the RPG-style progression system presents to Ubisoft, will they use it?
This would be THE best game-mode for Wildlands! The fear of death would be always present, but it's not the end of all. Beatable if given time, dedication and skill (not just by getting in-game upgrades that always stay with you even if you die). The fear of losing the created character and all skills would make things much more tense, which is perfect for a Clancy-game, no?
This mode with the game progression saved wouldn't give the same rewards (as the Ghost-mode with "permadeath&progresslosing" does). But it would be the best way to play Wildlands. As there are bugs and glitches in the game, losing ALL progress due to a bug seems totally unreasonable. Losing just a character due to a bug is sad (or potentially funny), but bearable.
This update would give Wildlands the final spark it still needs. It's such a good game already, so please take this easy and short step to make the game rules even better!
I would bet this is really easy to implement to the game, so why not do it? It would change the campaign gameplay instantly for the better.
So I am actually truly happy about the AI Customizing. Now meat and potatoes of the request. The following are things that myself and others truly want to see in the game. We understand having to appease all different types of fans but the milsim groups feel a little short changed. So here we go:
1) Smoke grenades maybe switch out with the diversion lure and reduce them to maybe 3-4 each a different color
2) LMGs and bipods, so at least one of the 3, M60, M240B, or actual M249 SAW. Bipods deploy when prone or posted up on a wall or similar.
3) Attachments, completely revamp handgrips by adding where they can be placed. Buttstocks, the M4 stock needs to be able to be extended it is adjustable. As well as the M4 equilivent need to be adjustable.
4) Weapons, Glock Pistol is a common one I hear requested. Now some have requested rocket launchers, my recommendations is if you go with the LA-AW then it needs to be a one shot weapon and discarded. Now if you go RPG-7 then make a RPG back that will allow for 3 extra rounds but is less accurate than the LA-AW. Also weapons that fire the same rounds should maybe have closer damage rating. Maybe a stand alone grenade launcher as a second weapon like the M79 thumper Incase people don’t want it on their main rifle or aren’t carrying an Assault Rifle.
5) Plate Carriers/Harnesses/Chest Rigs, there are plenty of these on the web that could be used as examples of a better cosmetic look than the current ones. Also maybe an option to get rid of the backpack or have a certain loadout on the back of the kit for cosmetic looks.
6) Backpacks, could definitely use a couple of different more options closer to like what the military may use now or in the past, for example the ALICE Pack.
7) Vehicles/Helicopters/Boats, vehicle wise pretty good with the lastest update. Helicopters maybe add the UH-1 Huey and the AH-6 little bird. Also add a fixed cross hair for the classic controls so there is a baseline of where the weapon systems are pointed. Is there a way to add a chaff system to certain helicopters like the UH-60 that can be automatic deployed upon weapons lock of a Sam that has an auto reload like the missle pod but longer delay. Boats, the ability to deploy a gun boat would be nice that is woodland in color. Like the Santa Blanca boats with mini guns.
8)Rappeling, being able to fast rope or rappel from helicopters which may be difficult to make happen in game it is a request since people have noticed certain helicopters have it set up on the aircraft.
9)6-8 man teams, Now this is the most requested one I here and maybe you could make it into one of the Updates as an actual set of missions. Like having to rescue each member and then controlling how many you play with. So you could have up to 4-5 missions for the UPDATE with the 5 having all the extra guys be in the mission and being used that way with maybe a button command to switch between which group you are giving orders too.
Well I know it was long but hopefully you will look it over and see what you can do.
My character died in the Ghost Mode because of a bug. Again. This is unacceptable.
Please add this option to Ghost Mode: Keep campaign progression & inventory when player dies: Yes/No?
It would still be permadeath for the character, but I could create a new character and continue the campaign with it! Only the skills and character model are lost upon death. Otherwise I have to grind the game again and again, just to get all the same gear and do the same missions all over again...Thanks to the neverending bugs....
Please fix the Ghost Mode so it doesn't alway reset the campaign & gear, only the soldier dies and is replaced with a new one. (The fallen soldier's gear could be in the place of death, retrievable if you reach it, or available in the inventory straight away.)
This game-mode would be a winner!You'd have to take care of your high level soldier, but dying wouldn't end all and force you to grind again.
