So, tomorrow it'll be a full week that the new patch came out. I still have to reboot the game to get my weapons back after I die or fast travel. I have been driving all over this map to avoid fast travel, but honestly, the game has become quite unplayable. It takes 5 minutes of saving the game, shutting it down on the home screen, starting it back up and going through the whole start up sequence, then going to a store... no fast travel allowed... and re-equipping all my weapons. Over, and over.... and all we get from Ubisoft is:"We're looking into the issue" a few days ago and since then there has been radio silence. Not a peep outta them.... now I love these games from Ubisoft, but Dammit.... does it need to take a full week to find a fix, or did you break it beyond repair? Let us know something... Please... any progress on this issue, or should I just wait a month or two till you decide that you've lost enough players and to do something about it. It's quite disconcerting on how little you guys communicate when something goes wrong... and I get it, you didn't do this on purpose, but dammit, you broke it so effing fix it before I will start calling your office every hour on the hour till I get a satisfactory answer....
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say:
"HURRY THE HELL UP!!"
It’s not the point, we paid premium price to have the extra and they are unavailable. I’m halfway through campaign and have now stopped. In Australia there is laws about getting what you paid for, and right now, I’m missing about $50 worth of my initial purchase. Ubisoft, where is the patch/fix? It can’t be that hard you have acknowledged the issue.
The premise was, the game is unplayable without this issue being fixed. This is not the case. You dont need to boot up, play, save, reboot etc etc to play. The game still functions, just missing a few items in the store. Which will be returned when they have sussed out the cause.
There are laws about getting what you pay for everywhere. All that's happened here is some items have been removed Accidentally, and Temporarily. Its a technical hiccup that will be fixed.
To say the game is unplayable is like saying you cant drive your car because the air con is bust. The car still drives. The game still works. Im guessing it will be sorted when the dlc drops next week.
The fact is that some will find the lack of content they paid for will make the game unplayable in their case. ....especially the campaign where some may only play through once. I've seen others who have said they have felt the need to stop until this issue is rectified since it's obvious that it has affected their enjoyment. It was the same thing with the neverending night cycle where some didn't want to continue playing in constant darkness. In my case, it happened after I finished the campaign so I really didn't care (I was pretty much done with the game at that point).
This is obviously having a negative impact some people's gameplay experience. The idea that they should just suck it up and keep playing is disrespectful and dismissive IMO. Let them air their grievances.
I wasnt being dismissive or disrespectful, nor do i believe people dont have the right to "air grievances" nor do i not understand people not wishing to play until the items get fixed. The point was, in its entirety, is the game is playable. It functions. The Only thing missing is a few weapons and vehicles. I dont personally get why its a massive issue, you just play with rifle 'a' until rifle 'b' is working again. But my personal view on the matter wasnt what i was putting forward. I simply stated the facts. The game functions, and to claim otherwise is an exaggeration. The initial premise wasnt "i dont want to continue until i get my weapons back", it was "the game is unplayable because i have to keep shutting down and rebooting", which is incorrect. If someone doesn't want to play until the weapons are restored then that is their prerogative, but to anchor the "complaint" with "the game doesnt work" is factually wrong.
It cant be equated to the day/night issue either. In that case the day night cycle stopped. The game was not functioning correctly to a major degree.
In this instance, you can just use a different gun. Its not like all guns have been removed.
Again, im not saying one can not display displeasure, or a want to not continue without weapons, or ask for answers, but factual accuracy is important.
You're absolutely right Kean1,like myself,I did go trough the campain once and since I had a while to wait before FC3 classic I've restarted the game but a couple of days after we had that screwed up update and now it really is unplayable, no matter what strange thinking players say ,the campaign simply CANNOT be enjoyable having to restart every damn time you fast travel, die or even finish some mission...I will resume playing only after they fix this botched untested poorly built 1.6 update
Semantics aside, I understand what you folks mean by "unplayable". Like the day/night cycle......Originally Posted by omdunor Go to original post
Technically, the game was still "functional" if that problem occurred but if you wanted to continue playing, you had to do it without a day cycle. Personally, if I had experienced that issue at anytime during the campaign I would have stopped my progress until it was fixed. It would have been "unplayable" in that sense because it would have had such a negative impact on my gaming experience that I wouldn't want to continue while it remained in its current state.
I get it.... Let's just hope that Ubi implements a solution soon and doesn't make you folks wait weeks for it. As a customer, I'd be miffed too if it happened to me.
