I've got the movie showing the last meeting of civil war veterans at the Gettysburg reunion, both north and south. It's silent and narrated, except an interview done added at the end with 3 of them...wonder it it's the same.

That may well be, as none of them ever made it back for future reunions....

Now that would be cool to see. I didn't know such documentation existed.

Heinz Edelmann (June 20, 1934 - July 21, 2009) was a German illustrator and designer.

He was born in 1934 in Ústí nad Labem (Czechoslovakia). He is a well-known illustrator in Europe, but is probably most famous for his art direction and character designs for the 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine.

He also designed Curro for the 1992 Seville World's Fair.

He died from heart disease and renal failure in Stuttgart, aged 75.

Eunice Kennedy, last surviving sister of JFK, RFK, and the now sole survivor of the clan, Edward K., passed away this morning. She was the founder of the Special Olympics, and will always be remembered for her contributions to make life a little better for the disadvantaged.

So sad to read of all these ppl gone for ever. They had become a sort of friends after seeing them so many times on the screen... you look at a young and attractive face and read "dead at 89" or whatever - it's shocking.
In any case they have been a part of our lives and it's sad to think they are just nothing anymore now.
