It would be great to have the option to toggle every single hud element on/off including flashing bodies, icons and quest text (some little things still remain even with ALL the Interface options switched to OFF).
It would be even better if this option could be integrated with an in-game toggle key/button to turn the HUD on and off.
There is obviously enough keys on the keyboard to do this, but it could also be added to the controller by binding it to the R3/RS stick button - exactly the same way the 'Hunter Vision' could be toggled on/off in 'Far Cry Primal'.
I mentioned before that there is already a mod on PC that provides this result, but this is obviously not available to those who play on consoles. Plus, myself and many other people would rather not have to download any 3rd part anti-cheat software just to have zero HUD elements.
Thank you
I may have to go thru the same exercise given the lack of clarity of what the options actually enable/disable.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
Please. I think this is a more or less complete list of HUD elements that can't be disabled:
.Grapple points
.Flashing loot
.Mission text at upper left (I haven't experienced this in a while, might have been changed)
.Ring that shows people who are downed and bleeding out
.Bomb indicators for explosives dropped by planes
.Control reminders in binoculars
However, we should be able to see world icons marked with a waypoint, which we currently can't.
In addition, it would be nice to have an option to disable sounds like the one made when an enemy is marked (which is redundant when highlighting is disabled).
I suspect the last patch may have addressed these. When you begin an attack on an outpost a notification would pop up in top left of screen saying 'Liberate nearby outpost'. I can't get that to happen to any more.Originally Posted by Gosbot27 Go to original post
All the others are still present, though. The grapple point indicator is a really pointless one in my opinion. I mean they went to all the trouble of creating in-world indicators like discarded ropes to show us where grapple points are, so we really don't need those horrible white markers.
I had assumed there was a toggle in the Interface menu specifically for that, but I'm not really sure if there is. All I know is if you have all HUD elements off, it disappears, and toggling the Objective Reminder in the upper left corner of the screen back on doesn't re-enable it. It should be cut and dried, but they named them horribly. All they had to do is call one of them objective marker.Originally Posted by Gosbot27 Go to original post
In my experience you can see set waypoints, just not until you're close to them, and only if they're placed on map icons.
And yeah I know you meant world icons plural, I'm just saying they should have had an option to turn on only tracked objective markers. For instance the mission where you first fly Nick's plane involves some objectives that can be hard to find unless they're marked. There are other missions with the same problem.
