How do you get the most points in the world dance floor?

Hello! I'm trying to get top 50 on the world dance floor, but I want to know if you get points by beating alot of dancers or performing well in songs. If it's your performancce in the songs, how many points in the song for one online season point? Thanks!

That's a good question. I'd like to know exactly how it works, though I have an idea from dancing for several months. I seem to get a few more points when I score 13,000 on a song than when I score in the upper 12,000's, so maybe the points partly depend on how well you do (probably based on whether your score exceeds 13,000, 12,000, 11,000, 10,000, in round numbers). Perhaps they also depend a little on the total number of players on the dance floor, but I can't say that I notice any difference when I finish 1st or further down the leaderboard.

The big problem that I see is that a dancer who rarely shows up at the top of the leaderboard can rank very well in the seasonal standings simply by dancing much more than the players who regularly finish in the top three on the leaderboard. Due to this, the seasonal rankings seem to be more of an indication of who dances the most and less of an indication of who dances the best.

Then there is also an issue that it's easier to hit big scores on more dances on certain platforms than other platforms.

What about players who dance to all of the songs, versus players who run away from their tougher songs and just wait on the sidelines for the best dances to come up?

It would be cool if you got a big boost in points after dancing to all 52 songs (and each time you do this), especially if you met some minimum goal for all 52 songs (like hitting megastars on all of them). It would also be cool if you got a big boost in points after scoring first, second, or third in a tournament.

At the end of the two-week period, unfortunately it only shows who the winner was. You can't see a leaderboard, so the players who finish 2nd thru 10th, for example, don't get any publicity at all. Even during the two-week period, you have no idea who the players are who are at the top of the leaderboard (unless you happen to be one of those players), because the leaderboard only shows you scores next to your own (unlike the leaderboards that you see after a song or classic tournament, which highlight the top three players in addition to showing scores near your own).

It's a shame that there aren't more ways to see scores. I enjoy seeing how well other players are doing (usually, it's quite impressive). On the other hand, some of the information you see on the WDF seems quite irrelevant, like how many stars have been won during tournaments or how many team battles have been played. Really? You can tell me that, but you can't show me who finished third in the seasonal standings?

Then there is the issue of lags? Surely, there are lag and connectivity issues. I've often wondered if the scores we see are 100% accurate. Maybe sometimes we see projected scores and standings? If so, I wish there were two separate leaderboards: one current leaderboard with projected standings like we see now, and later on an update with actual scores once they all come in. (Even if it came in several minutes later, I'd love to see actual scores, if by chance what we're seeing now are projected scores rather than actual scores.) Future editions could have a message box, for example, to deliver leaderboards once they finally come in, and then you could go in and see exactly how everyone finished. (If there aren't any lag issues, then I apologize for bringing this issue up.)

Really, I love the WDF and I enjoy the different tournaments. If support has a good explanation for your question, I look forward to seeing it. (It would be nice if there were an explanation for how the seasonal scoring worked in the game itself.)
