    Smooth tool is too slow!

Dear ubisoft, Not sure if its the same on pc but on consoles the smooth tool is way to slow. Im trying to make sand dunes but its taking forever to smooth out! I have the speed set to max but it bairly looks like its doing anything, any chance we can get more max speed like four times what the max speed is. If anyone else has any pointers to help speed the process up i would be greatfull. Thnx

I think it goes faster the larger the radius is... possibly crank everything to max just to test it out, then scale the settings back?

Maybe try with the 'Hardness' at full as well?

Thnx MayAnneNaze, iv tried with hardness set to full but it makes little difference. It was alot faster befor far cry 4, and now with far cry 5 its down to a snails pace.

You’re trippin. Turn up the speed. I used the tool at all speeds at all radius and hardness it’s plenty fast sometimes too fast at the lowest setting even. If you’re having problems perhaps it’s your dunes that need rethinking. I would just take the bump tool turn it up a bit adjust the radius to the dune size you want and drag that across the plain to make the hills. Smooth that out with a quick pass at high speed then use the ramp tool on one side of the dunes to give them that duney look then pas over that with a large smooth then do and individual pass over with a squared smaller radius tool on the ramp side to make those nice. Shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.

Lighten up kid I didn’t throw any insults your way, you would know if I did. I was merely trying to explain an easy way to do it. If “you’re tripping” offends you you’re going to have a very hard life. Good luck.

If you need some help getting some stuff together we got a decent map editor group over on the facebooks and there are plenty of mappers willing to give you there tips. It’s alwasy good to get inputs from other people. Sorry if my you’re tripping comment offended you Inmesnt nothing by it it’s just a turn of phrase.
