Hi Guys,
just wondered if there is/will be any way to import custom 3d objects (.obj, 3ds. or whatever) into the new arcade map editor? If its not possibly directly, maybe someone knows a converter to get at least some simple geometries made in any 3d design software into the editor.

Nope, not possible.Best bet we have is recreating such objects with basic objects. So you'd need to 'convert' the custom 3D object into parts that easily map to known FC5 objects.
Something like that would be possible in theory, in practice just require too much work. Not worth it, especially given the state the game's in.
Alright, thanks for the quick response. Maybe they add the feature. I'm verry happy about the generic models and the easy texture mapping but thats more like an extra function and not like an alternative to importing custom models. Anyway, thanks a lot! I'll let you know if I find any way to do so
