Just played 3 games in a row where the average ping was over 90ms for each player. I'm running at about 30ms & the game is completely unplayable. That's close 800ms of lag conbined! One game a guy joined midmatch at over 120ms & rendered blocking completely useless. How is this still happening even with dedicated servers . . . are they just that bad or can't handle the load on the network? It's getting to season 1 synching levels now ever since season 6 release.
I mean they released a 4v4 fighting game with P2P connections so you cant expect muchOriginally Posted by Protos_88 Go to original post
Gotta give em some credit for servers and lag comp, i honestly thought theyd just let the game die. (Probably the better buisness decision Kappa)
credits? like another year?Originally Posted by KitingFatKidsEZ Go to original post
It did feel like I'm Season 5 with dedicated servers that things did get better. Less disconnection and player synching issues. Season 6 has been a complete disaster in PS4 as there are numerous issues especially with the connections. I like seeing the actual ping times to see which players will be on top of the leaderboards by the end of the match due to lag. :P
Credit for taking over a year to make a dedicated server in 2017? Sounds sub par and unacceptable to me. I give them zero credit. ALL the credit goes to the community which they rely so heavily upon to omprove their dying game....Originally Posted by KitingFatKidsEZ Go to original post
Hey folks,
If you're having connection issues consistently, could you provide me or our Support Team (https://support.ubi.com) with additional details? From your post, OP, it seems like it could be a very rare case of being matched against a full team from an entire other region, possibly caused by the changes to the matchmaking algorithm that we're currently investigating.
Over the past few months, any major connection issues that have been reported are usually due to the players individual connection, as with the introduction of Dedicated Servers we've been seeing a much higher stability and match success rate.
I'd also like to add that it's a bit much to disparage the work of the team when it comes to the servers. The game didn't start with them, true, which means the team had to put in a lot of work to get them up and running whilst also maintaining the original structure of the game. We had no major downtime to switch over, and that's all down to the hard work of the folks on the development team.
Regards,
Jim.
