"Hello Map Builders,
Thank you for all your feedback following the Title Update 6 patch notes.
As you know, our previous Title Update brought the eagerly-awaited rework of the Private Lobbies, giving the Host the possibility to chose the maps to be played. Another comment that came back frequently was the impression of playing a lot of “lower-quality” maps in Public Lobbies, and that the map selection workflow was complicated.
For these reasons, we decided to rework the Public Lobbies. When entering a Public Lobby, TU6 changes guarantee you to play a quality map with a straightforward experience. Note that Arcade Hero is still here to help you discover and rate new maps. This change is a first step towards another feature our team is working on: a Lobby Browser system for Arcade.
We however understand that the new Public Lobby system is coming as a surprise for many players, which is why we are looking into solutions to reintroduce a map selection phase in Public Lobbies. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information on the feature and the timeline.
Stay reassured that our objective is to offer you the best Arcade experience.
The Far Cry Arcade team"

Um... nobody was eagerly awaiting an update to the Private Lobbies because nobody cares about them and don;t even play in them. So that is complete BS.
And the Public Lobbies are not even public - they are private Ubisoft lobbies - so all you play are Ubi's selections. Like a private Ubi Lobby.
What absolute BS.
"Working on a browser system"? Why? Everyone has left already. You don;t have any players left Ubi. LOL

I can tell you that I played for a few hours last night, and almost EVERY map that I saw was something I had never seen before. In fact, I only saw ONE of the normal "Ubi featured" maps the entire time. Everything else was a highly rated community map. Some were great, some were so-so, but the point is that they were all stuff that I had never seen.
It's a HUGE improvement from having EVERY SINGLE MATCH coming down to a vote between Shovel Dodgers, Airport, Toy Room, Small Soldiers, Above The Clouds, and a couple other Ubi featured maps.
As for private lobbies, they would be a great feature if they improve on them. You remember the FC2 lobby system? Guess what, those were PRIVATE LOBBIES, the only difference was you didn't need a password to join them, and you could browse through them. If Ubisoft gives us a private lobby browser and gets rid of password, that's a huge step towards giving us FC2 type lobby system.
I might give it a go next month.
You are right, I have not played after the new update so hats off to Ubi if its benefits the players. I'm on NMS at the minute, so many great new features and these are after one year or more after release. HELLO GAMES seem to know what it is to keep a game going years after release.
I will load up Far Cry 5 tomorrow maybe, give it a bash, if it seems ok I will play it for a bit. Sounds good man.
I understand the frustration. But at least give it a shot. It's so much better not having to play the same maps over and over and over.Originally Posted by rioseven Go to original post
Yea but you probably know how it is. I'm doing stuff on No Mans Sky now. I'm getting Frost Crystals because I want to make some nice glass windows so my base looks nice, just in case anyone visits and I have the coords for it now via the portal.
People go back to other games. My wife loved the Far Cry 5 campaign but after playing it just went back to playing Fallout 4.
Its not rocket science. Make Far Cry something that everyone wants to play continuously.
At the minute it just seems like everything in FC5 is like "PLAY IT AND THEN F OFF"
I Agree ...... Way better than playing the same Featured maps.Originally Posted by Brimtown Go to original post
Although New Lobby brings new problems...
I do not know what platform you are on , unless you are A huge fan of Nuketown ( PS4) map . Gets played every match , because of the map thieves.
Is that not the same problem from before?
