About new map
Well, we had a week to play at Beachhead and I have some thoughts about it.
1. What really devs kept in mind when doing it? I mean, it's almost mirror map, and very small. When you start at stronghold you litteraly could reach zone A and zone C with second gap. So this mean a) Devs really troll us, cause everyone complained about old deathball designed maps, or b) They made it consciously, trying to bring something new to gameplay. Still, the best tactic right now is to go to enemy spawn zone and kill everyone there, than split up and return to your spawn zone to captured it.
2. This map to easy for Shinobi and others fast chars. I mean, as Shinobi I could traveling around zones with less than 10 seconds. It's obviously make a huge disatvantage. I always could be in place where I need to be, while heavy slow chars can't. Let's say, I'm in the zone A, boosting. Highlander come, I just turn around and run to zone C, where my teammates fighting 3v3. I will get there and while HL could do the same, it's deffenetly become 4v3 with one dead enemy. So, HL can't properly capture zone A, and 80% chance enemy team loose zone C. I know you can't reduce Shinobi off-fight speed, but...add some obstacles between zone A and C.
3. Well, now we have Beachhead, Sanctuary Bridge, Tample Garden, Forest etc, so maybe in new (bigger) gamemode you will just combine all this to faction map? Combine still should be easier, than making new maps. But now we could have BF's type maps, where you start at beach, attack stronghold, than get inside, make some objectives in the forest (you even can combined modes, dominion on one side of map, and than tribute on another) and than go deeper and deeper inside the samurai land. Just think about it.
