Pick a map feature being removed, could be the end of Far Cry 5 if not fixed!

Oh God where do I start this is the worst idea ever, you guys are literally shooting yourselves in the foot, taking away the feature to be able to pick a map is a very terrible idea it was already hard to get our maps played with the new system you guys have made which barely works, now we won't be able to play our maps and get them out there at all, unless you start a private Lobby up and have some friends come in and upvote your map which is difficult because not everybody has friends on at the same time and it's just a hassle we shouldn't have to do this just to get our maps on the top list to get seen or even played! You guys are going to need to fix this right away after this next update or the game is going to die really quick at least with multiplayer and the editors, here's some suggestions to fix this and I don't see why the developers couldn't do this because it would be easy, if you guys are going to go about taking the pick a map future away at least make private lobbies open so people can join, and throw away that god-awful password feature for private lobbies, this way people can find your private lobby and join whenever they please they won't have to type in a password to join or anything like that it would be very simple and very effective people would be able to get there maps played and out there and everybody would be happy this is like the most simplest fix ever I really hope someone's listening, cuz I have to admit you guys have been really bad at getting back to people, and also been very bad at announcements and telling the community what's going on, we need communication guys come on!

Just trying to make sense of this. So spitballing, brainstorming and possibly playing devil's advocate here: it's the BEST IDEA EVER!

    Because:
    • Players will NEVER have to play low quality/bad maps in standard (public) Multiplayer, nor have to wait for map pickers. No more bugs with the Browser accidentally replacing the picked map with a random other one, this is by design now.
    • Communities will NOT have to put up with 12 year olds ruining their multiplayer experience, because they now will have to resort to Private lobbies to play their map.
    • Maps initially start in Private, giving creators the chance to test/optimize them before they make it 'out there' in the Public realm.
    • There's further emphasis on Arcade Hero to get maps "rated" properly before they actually make their way to the general public.
    • If a map is neither featured nor rated well, people should not be confronted with it unless they specifically choose to (Arcade Hero).

So, there's the distinction between the casual (12-year old) players who'll jump into Public matches. And then there's the "hard core fans" who will camp out in Private Lobbies. If only those lobbies could get organized better/have better visiblity. But that's possibly something we as a community will have to organize, for example by picking one single known shared password to host maps.

Perhaps map makers should not make maps to reach a broad audience, but instead for the entertainment of themselves and their friends. If others pick it up, it'll be in the Public Lobby, but if not; who cares?

I believe the private lobby system is only a limitation because not everyone has many friends, and friends aren't all online at the same time. So I think it's time to combine and grow communities (Discords, Facebook groups) and agree on specific Public lobby passwords to allow maps to be played.
For example: "testing" to playtest maps.

Looks like removal of the Pick a map feature may be INCORRECT INFORMATION in the patch notes! According to UbiFrostX:

Looks like removal of the Pick a map feature may be INCORRECT INFORMATION in the patch notes! According to UbiFrostX:
(..) from what I understand that statement was incorrect and the corrected version should be fixed tomorrow

    First pach anousment was
    Public lobby changes
Removed “Pick a map” phase from Public Lobbies: maps are now automatically picked from “Featured”, “top rated”, plus a “Replay map” slot

    and then
OP from what I understand that statement was incorrect and the corrected version should be fixed tomorrow

    and awther that
•Public and Private Lobbies have been reworked

What a mess in communication with customers(players)
finnaly when pach gomes out first sttesment is true-pic up pase is removed from publick lobbys!

And all of this pecause to customers give answers forum adminns ho are not a PR and customers departmend workers and have not any aknowlege with PR and dealing with
    customers ( players)

Well the biggest issue is that most new mp maps now will be full of bugs as there is no way of testing if you are the avg FC5 player with no community connections to host private lobbies. Also, all 3 star mp maps are stuck in nether now, as the algorithm will never pick them on any mode (based on how it works, most decent mp maps start getting 3 stars after leaving "New"). Not that this is a real change, but at least before we could suggest our map to be played and maybe get some people liking the map and suggesting it on their own.
