Heres my idea on how we should rework Warden

Warden is a basic character with a incredibly basic moveset. He suffers from only being able to use one combo which is the vortex, any heavies thrown result in a nasty punish do to how slowly he attacks. As i have trained and held a longsword and bastards sword, which the latter it most likely is, a heavy attack should not be that god damn slow. This is a fact that a longsword and bastards sword are not that heavy and are in fact relatively light to hold. They check in around 2.5-3.5 and in a rare instance, 4.5-5 lbs. They should fix this in a way by making his heavies on par or faster than a Raider’s or on par with kenseis side soft feint heavy from the top.

Now with the wardens sword weight cleared lets move to his move kit. Warden would benefit from a few more combos and one-two should have a unblockable heavy finisher. His unblockable will be a mortal stroke, from the top its a bit slower and from the sides its faster. If you execute it from the top you have two soft feint options, A. You can press the GB button and bash their nose in with a stunning tap from the pommel, or B. Switch to the side and instead use the blade and stab them. From the side you can exclusively do option A. He can also do on side parries a non soft feint mortal stroke which can be hard feinted into a gb.

Now you may be thinking “Holy Crap! Hes op! Hes worse than shaman! Wow! Wow! Wow!” Now look here scrub nuggets, just parry him or call a bluff, hes not as bad as kensei, while he is a mixture of Kensei and Lawbringer. His shoulder bash will not be soft feinted into a gb but into a light stab attack that can stun for a small bit, but it has little tracking so you cant punish a dodge, walls are still Wardens ally and you wont be able to use your unblockable after a throw.

Ubisoft please don’t let me down. I want warden to get back to his rightful throne in top tier. He should be the truest of swiss army knives compared to others, his play style should fit the situation. With this move set he will be what he should have been. Ubi if you could respond I would appreciate, hell, even link them to my Reddit post here https://reddit.app.link/xz03TdQa8M Its a shameless plug and everything I said here was from there.

I'm all for these changes as long as they take away that shoulder bash softfeint into guardbreak. That softfeint alone can still grab people out of dodge bash or dodge attack.

Having softfeints into attacks and having actual utility would do a lot better for him without feeling cheesed
