I don't know man, I hope they will give us the possibility to buy it, at least, with gold.
What I know for sure is that this challenge is pretty difficult to reach, I don't know how they thought about this total amount....the number requested is too high.

It's sometimes hard to line up shots that far, anyways, with terrain and obstacles causing issues, but then it has to be peggies and the total is 350,000? Not to mention planes, friendly ai, and animals
killing them first. We'll be lucky to get 3/4 done by reset.

We don't get the rewards. We'll have to wait till the event returns and try again.

I think previous events' rewards can be bought in the store after a while.

Ubisoft *claimed* this would be the case when I confronted them via Support about this event, but I’m hesitant to trust them after all of the ****ty decisions they made with this game...

I've kind of enjoyed the Live events as a neat add on. You get some silver bars, a vehicle or weapon and an outfit, for a little of my time. THIS event is NOT only a time suck, but an issue of sheer luck. Sure, I can shoot the targets, but the problem is where to find them that before I can scope in and HOPE they're more than 160 m out, they've not been hosed down by a Whitetail with an LMG, eaten by a snotty wolverine MY personal fave, I see the target, back off to make sure I'm more than 165 m away, turn around to pop someone's head, to discover they've disappeared. This event was not fun. Nor amusing. I don't mind investing time, IF I can enjoy it, but this was annoying. If you want distance shots, give us a means to gauge distance and a way to reliably determine targets that won't disappear the minute we finally get them in the reticle....

The best way I found to do that is set a way point at the outpost and then you'll be able to see how many meters you are away from it. Of course for a lot of them then you run into line of site issues, but at least you'll know your shooting then from far enough away.
