Hello everyone,
Is it the thing that I started Holland valley first and the game still felt very fresh then, or the other two regions really feels unfinished?
I can describe more presicesly, but I don't want to give words to anyones mouth. At first I just want to know if anyone thinks the same, and if yes, why.
For the map design itself, each region is somewhat unique, and I find it interesting to work each under normal conditions - except Henbane when Faith is still active. The excessive spawning of imaginary characters and the completely over-the-top bliss effects turn me off. It's a region to reach 13000 ASAP and do remaining activities just for the personal challenge (take an o/p undetected for example). A shame, as there are some interesting activities to engage with under what could be described as normal open-world FPS settings.
All regions IMO have acceptable if not good and plenty adequate map design, as far as the environment itself anyway. My main problem is Henbane, it's got way too much bliss crap with judge animals appearing everywhere, and consequently it's also the region that just happens to spawn even non bliss animals in front of you all the time. So yea, Henbane feels lazily made in two ways. They thought the crazy drug stuff would be enough to keep us entertained, and the spawn points are done as an afterthought.
Well, it's just me then.
I don't mind the bliss effect thingy in henbane.
Once I finished holland valley and ventured forward to whitetail and then to henbane I got the feeling that:
-most of the buildings are closed up (so you can enter them
-holland had more voice messages
-quests in holland were more "complex"
-and prepper stashes were more complex also
but yeah, it might be that the game felt fresh at first while I was in holland valley.
