LOL... Time to drop the team thenOriginally Posted by Eeskie2982 Go to original post![]()
While generally not the case there are occasionally reasons why someone might be using a base or slightly odd choice of modifier such as having a loadout where the approach works best with either a burst or sustained application of a skill that might not be supported by the "best" modifier(s) due to cooldown time, etc.
Most of the time though it seems to be inexperience or people just being bad.
One thing that has been annoying me a bit recently is you'll get 2 or 3 of the team (friends) trying to use certain tactics, getting annoyed when myself or another person on the team doesn't do whatever that is but never actually takes the time to explain what they are doing - while I'm upto speed on many approaches and will try to adapt if it is obvious that is what they are doing it isn't always obvious and/or there are some I'm not aware of, etc.
I have seen this also many times, it is ok if they take your advice and change some skills and listen to tips, but most of the newbies don't even listen to advice and think and sometimes say they know what they are doing, untill they are dead, that is, lol
I have come to the point I don't even try to explain anymore, if I see the group is running with basic skills, go take position in the most unusual places, etc..., I just leave the group and move on, I have tried it enough before to teach some newbies ingame but they all seem to think they know better and don't take advice anyway.
Could just be alt. char adopters needing to quickly level. Yet.....
I said it before but difficulties should have pre-conditions that need to be met before players can run them. Seems like the dev team really need to force players to reach a GS bracket as well as completing previous difficulties..... ^^
I've wondered about this - I've a couple of support type builds that are fairly min/maxed - they have OK DPS but not amazing but a good all around package that doesn't depend too much on other players if it comes to it - and I notice quite often lately I'm out damaging a good number of players who are playing what looks like damage setups, etc. or out healing people playing reclaimer and so on.Originally Posted by agentCoats Go to original post
LOL, no worse than Resistance w/ guys who ALL have a Immunity Box on, and drop them all at same time so they cancel each other out, and get wiped 2 seconds later by the virus/mob swarm.
And no matter how many times you tell them to stagger the boxes, yet again the idiots throw all 3 down....
Some people just don't take direction, nor will they use a mic to make communicating easier.
Those are the breaks. Leave party and try again w/ someone else.
I'm running more and more into groups where I clearly state am running a full reclaimer build and people still keep throwing down their crappy 2.8k SP heal station. I've left a few groups lately that just don't listen or as JohnWick above says not taking any direction or even listening in on the mic. There is the occasional person who does drop their station only for a second then destroy to get that heal boost, am fine with that.
