Hi,
Since the most recent patch, I had an issue that whenever I restarted or woke up my pc, EasyAnticheat under services.msc would auto switch to disabled. Each time after restart when i wanted to play WL, I would have to Win key+X--> run--> services.msc--> EasyAnticheat properties, and change startup type from disabled to manual. If I didn't do this first, Wildlands wouldn't open properly and would give me an undescribed error.
As usual Ubisoft technical support completely lacked in helping with this issue. Their simplified suggestion to verify files in Uplay did not work.
Frustrated, I wrote directly to EasyAntiCheat, and they immediately replied with the following 3 steps for a solution:
Thank you for contacting us.
It seems that something on your computer is disabling the Easy Anti-Cheat service. In most cases this is related to your antivirus. You can try adding the game directory to its exception list, repair the Easy Anti-Cheat service using the Setup.exe found in the game's installation folder (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands\EasyAntiCheat_setup.exe), and finally check that the Startup type is set to 'Manual' in services.msc (which is how it should be).
I wanted to post this just in case someone else might be having the same issue, and having a tough time finding a permanent solution. After following their instructions, the problem is gone.
