The one we have right now does not cover much, would love to see in TD2 a more informative one, i.e....
A target that has a timer on it so we can find out our TTK
A target that shows armor so we can tell how EAD is effecting that target
Maybe have....
Close range: RED + PURPLE + YELLOW targets
Mid range: RED + PURPLE + YELLOW targets
Long Range: RED + PURPLE + YELLOW targets
So we can tell how weapon talents etc effect each one....
I dunno, just something more informative than what we have now.
Have you seen the test range in Battlefield 4? It's a whole island with access to every weapon, vehicle and aircraft in the game.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
Targets that show damage to different archetypes is nothing. lol
I am deffo not a hardcore player but the one we have now is very very basic considering this game relies a lot on stats, tbh i think it would help softcore and hardcore.....the one we have now is basically optimal range, chc + chd.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
Or have two sections...
Softcore queue here for shooting range, 10 min duration free of charge
Hardcore queue here for shooting range, 5 min duration, 100 PC

They can make targets for the cronus players too. Just heads, you don't need the bodies
Then we can have some for the PvP players that zig-zag to take advantage of the lag :P
For the PvE players we can have a few that move at superhuman speed, then others that skid across the floor when electrocuted, just like in the game![]()
I think they should follow The Secret World model:
1. Keep the PTS environment up all the time, and just add a special vendor with everything the game has for free, so one can test stuff in an actual game environment and not waste countless hours trying to get the gear to test in the live game.
2. Instead of targets, have actual NPCs in the shooting range.
3. Either allow flash mods, or do it themselves, a combat tracker. The combat tracker in TSW was a mod someone wrote that opened a small window in game, that tracked combat time, offensive, and defensive stats, like: number, %, highest hit damage and total dmg of hits, crit hits, pen hits, glance hits, blocked hits, healing, etc.. and the numbers didn't disappear, they stayed up until you erased them.
I miss that game.
