    PVP Survival

Unfortunately there is little to no players at all playing this mode and who can blame them since mode is great but rewards suck. However I'm still playing it and just wanted to ask. Is there a way to check after starting PVP session are there any other players than me on the map?

The reward use to be that the mode worked. Ive quit playing it due to nasty lag and especially the menu lag as of late. Spend half the game waiting on the menu options to respond and dont even attempt to change anything while standing out in the cold or id just die right there on the spot.

When it was first launched it use to lag so bad that objects on screen wouldn't render quick enough. You would be walking and then all of a sudden things would catch up and you'd find yourself stuck in an object that finally rendered.

Only way to tell is when they go down or if they clear land marks. Keep an eye on your map and look for cleared land marks you didn't clear yourself, both inside and outside the DZ. If there's only a few people in the session, you will most likely spawn in the same area.

No way to know until someone dies. When you spawn in, either A) head for the nearest helicopter crash, B) wait outside, or C) run towards the nearest safehouse. With fewer the players are more likely to spawn in the same safehouse ( have actually seen 3 others come out at my safehouse, quick battle ), most players run towards the nearest safehouse to get that free painkiller and fabric, and last but not least many always try to get the edge of a helicopter crash.

I probably run Survival 12 times a week, never ever seen a Classified anything and seeing how they have gave up on TD to focus on TD2, Survival was one of the 1st parts they gave up on. Now with that being said, Survival Caches are the most rewarding. Everything else is a waste of your efforts

Though it lets you know players could still be around, it doesn't tell you how many. Many of times when they die, it won't even tell you where they are when they die. A loss of a lot of loot sometimes.

OP, there is no way to tell unless someone dies like mentioned above OR if you get the notification "Someone has entered the darkzone" However thats not as reliable since sometimes you get put into a dead game As in everyone died already and the notification are late.

Ive been in a game where it told me at first there was 5 other players when i first got in then within 1min there was already 1 dead player 3/4 the way to the DZ already and when i went to loot the bodied they had so much gear that would have been impossible to have gotten within 1min. So sometimes the notification are late/laggy and heck sometimes they dont even work and show up. 90% of the time it doesn't even show you where someone died like mentioned above.

If you are NA aka USA servers then iam sorry to say but you would be luck to get a few players in PVE. In PVP you would be lucky to get just 1 other player but depending what time you play during the day sometimes there is more.

Now EU servers are totally different. Usually you get a full server for PVE and almost always get 5-10 players for PVP.

-So if you truly like survival and really really want to play it more often against other players here are a couple options. Either try to talk and make friends with player from EU,UK etc in the regional chat that would allow you to group up with them and do a duo run of survival. (You would be surprised how willing players are to help you)

    Or

-You can do the Extreme like many of us have had to do when our EU friends are not on to play with and that is buy a VPN. I dont know how far you are willing to go to play survival but a VPN is not that expensive. You can get A VPN really cheap. As cheap as ~5$ a month up to ~9$ a month when you sign up for 1year. Though if you go this route I recommend going with a Highly rated VPN company vs the cheapest option bc sometimes connection can be really crap on the cheaper VPN companies.... Though i dont have problem with mine that Much. "ExpressVPN" Its super simple to use. 1 Button Click. I can help you privately if you choose to go with this...

Ever since Massive put in Region Matchmaking back in ~1.5 This made USA NA servers very hard to matchmake for players.

Its almost impossible to get a Game in Laststand for NA servers and skirmish you can find games but takes forever sometimes. Survival iam almost always either playing solo or put into a late game or if i get lucky there is 1 or 2 other players in PVE.... Last night i tried to do PVP waited ~5 minutes to get in to find out there was only 1 other player that ended up dieing at the first landmark closest to where we first spawned in. So i had again the entire survival PVP to myself. Ended up just doing commendation

Thats the best advice that i can give you. Make friends with EU players or buy a VPN. Thats what many NA players have had to do in order to play with others

The funny part is East and West coast NA cant even play together.

Yet East coast NA Servers are attached to Brazil and some of Asia.

West coast NA only Matchmakes with Central NA. Thats it. So they got it really bad....

Sad but what can you do at this point. Its sad that players have to buy a VPN service just to be able to play a game that the original could before the regional matchmake lockout.

It's to late I'm sure to alter Division 2 plans but would have been nice to see Survival turn into their every day Darkzone mode. you go into Darkzone, you get stripped of everything and can choose PVP or PVE mode. You have a time limit to fill your pack up with goodies to extract ending your DZ session. Supply drops gave you additional meds or gear to "extend" your sessions.

Survival was one of the most fun aspects of the game for me.
