I will ask all my questions similar to Raaaid's and thoughts here.
#1: When the X-wings fly in space, when in formation, how do they know whats up and whats down? People only seem to pay attention in horrizontal directions in space, but what is horizontal? Nobody thinks that up could be down, and left could be right. I mean, those X-wings could be flying upside down! But what is upside down?? The solar system could be upside down for all we know! People still think that there is gravity in space, but htey think when it comes to mind. I think its blah blah blah... But they don't say it when it because they are to lost. Do you know what I mean??

A position in space is completely arbitrary
In our solar system to us up and down is 90 degrees from the planets orbit but only because thats the way we have been taught

In "space", autopilot navigation is dependant on an inertial cartesian (x,y,z) frame that is arbitarily fixed in space. The positioning of this fixed frame is usual done to simplify the computation of the navigational system in use. Convention has it that Z+ axis of the inertial navigation frame is up. So what direction is up in space? That's easy: it is the direction of the Z+ axis the inertial naviation frame you're currently using.
Real answer: up is where ever humans want it to be...

Now that is a remark worthy of Raaaid, if ever I saw one.
Actually, the solar system is inside-out: The sun is the inside surface of a spherical hole, and Pluto is almost at the centre. Gravity bends light rays so it looks the other way round.

That map is perfectly right, IMHO. There's nothing but a convention in having North in the upper side.
I live in the South of Spain, but my hometown is in the North coast. Everytime I go visiting my parents in the North, people ask me: "So you're going up?" And I always answer, "No, I go North. And I'm not leaving on a balloon."

Another thought ofr today.
What would it be like if I came to school in a B-534? Taxi on the road and stuff. Park in 5 parking spaces. all that stuff.
Another thought. I hate it when people compare cars or motercycles to aeroplanes, it makes me mad! This guy says a car beat a F-16 (Bullcrap) and then I argued him down, untill he finaly looked it up, and it said it was beat in a quarter ridermile run or something. And you know "ghost rider" in his motercycle? Some ****** who has his haed stuck in fantessy, says that a freaking motercycle, could go 100mph! And he said it could beat a B-534 in combat. WTH is this, can motercycles fly?? Anyways, ther are a lot of little puunks that have there head in fantasy in school. I go to school with highscoolers and some midle schoolers. Damn kids. One of them (a little guy) got a mohawk and aks tough, little sh!t. He is a little toothpick, anyways. I also hater that stupid japenese manga and anime. I love Calvin and Hobbes. I have 3 huge books on it. Is bill waterson still alive? I also like to pretend I'm sitting in a I-153 or a B-534, those are my favorite planes. I cant dicide withc one would be more fun, and nice, teh I-153 is more sporty, but what if it rains or gets cold? Should I start a thread about withc one to choose?
Thanks for listening (reading)
Just got back from school.

Owl, calm down! You are typing faster than you can think! Faster than you can spell, too...
What was wrong with the topic as it was? Nobody has proved me wrong after I pointed out the solar system is inside-out. Obviously my superior logic has outwitted everyone again.
There are good reasons to suggest that the universe is actually shaped like a four-dimensional donut (a hypertoroid I think is the correct name for it) - this makes all this talk of Cartesian coordinates just plain wrong.

theres also the idea of what we are capable of seeing and measuring or perceiving.
up and down, right or left, inside out, etc..
So long as you aren't occupying the same place at the same time.
I also wonder if what we see as a 3 dimensional cube (x,y,z) could actually be bending and moving, but we are unable to see it because the rest of our reality including ourselves, is also bending and moving with it.
Its like drawing a stick figure man on a piece of paper. The man is only able to see what i draw on the piece of paper. In this regard, he is only able to perceive what exists in the dimension of that piece of paper. So i draw a tree, and a house, which he is able to see. Remembering that he can only see whats on the piece of paper, i then crinkle it up into a paper wad. The stick figure is unable to perceive the crinkles, and would still be able to see everything else on the paper, undisturbed. In fact, i can crinkle the paper all i want, but until i draw something new on the paper, nothing in his reality would change.
Our reality is more complex than a 2 dimensional piece of paper, but whats to say the X,Y,Z that we see isn't also bending and contorting in the same way?
Before you try and wrap your brain around that, i also had someone introduce me to the idea of non-space. I know that in space, there is no air and no matter, but something could occupy that space at any given time. So now, try to imagine, non space. An empty space where space itself does not exist. Could we perceive it?
