I've noticed that it becomes harder for a Last Stand game to start.
Not too long ago, you'd sign up for a Last Stand Game and within seconds a new game would start. This devolved to having to wait maybe a min and lately it takes quite a few minutes to get only 16 players to start a game! Is the game THIS dead? If the server i'm playing from is from Europe...not even 16 players around to start a game. And yes, of course another game could be taking place, but you'd expect couple of thousand of people to be playing PvP in the Division from a game this big?
And at night....after 3 or 4 am European time, you can forget a match alltogether...till maybe 8 in the morning. While writing this message i've been in the lobby waiting for a Last Stand match...but nope...still no start.
Is PvP this dead, or is there another reason?
I think its been mostly like that. There are times (of the day) when its faster/easier to get a game. Yet up until I was playing this game mode regularly..... about 1 mth ago you could get a match pretty fast. Though I stopped for two reasons 1) bc I would end up in started games where ppl left bc of the map with no proper spawns. 2) I got to tier 3 of the credit gathering commendation and that was it for me. I only go back from time to time....
Have you tried to leave your queue, return back to the game and then requeue. I found in the past that sometimes you would be stuck in a loop with the same few ppl joining and leaving.
R29 is definitely dividing the player pool. The big boy DZ is now mostly full of gankers targeting lower DZ beginners and farmers so the upper DZ is largely free. Even when I've run into rogues in the upper DZ over the past two days I've noticed they're not very skilled. I usually don't have as much success against gankers.
The action in the R29 DZ is mostly in the lower DZ as well because not many people are geared up enough to handle the NPCs up north.
Basically, the DZ has become a farmers paradise in either realm. I love it.
Can't say it's New, just players are just figuring it out though. DT farmers started dropping GS to farm DZ for DTech. Then Gankers that were actually afraid of PvP, followed. Now 256 DZ is pretty empty cause everyone else jumped shipOriginally Posted by Praetororian Go to original post
It's PvP without any gear sets or exotics. Just High End (gold gear) with reduced stats to what you're use to at Level 30. People are still trying to work out what combinations work and what's best-in-slot. Kind of fun to be part of that trial and error process.Originally Posted by Praetororian Go to original post
I've made one main assault build and have planned out a sniper build, skill build and healer build. But because you can't craft the gear, your only source of it is the few items available from vendors each week or farming DZ landmark bosses and DZ locked chests. It's a much slower processing to gear up than at Level 30 - which again makes it fun and rewarding.
