    [SPOILERS] Something I Don't Understand

How do we hear about conflicts going on in the outside world that supposedly explain the nukes hitting us at the end on the radio anyway? Didn't Dutch say that the cult ensured no signals would enter the valley and none would leave either?
That's why Wheaty asks you to get all of those vinyl albums, right? He's running the only non-cult radio station in Hope County.
The cult can't be broadcasting it. Why the hell would they care what's going on in the outside world? They're the ones who are so determined to separate themselves from everything else in order to protect their "New Eden" from the evils of the world?

And nobody in Hope County seems to know anything about this. Surely at least ONE PERSON would've mentioned that America is about to enter nuclear war with Europe and Asia. The only logical explanation I can think of is that the cult is broadcasting this news, but they're making it all up. They may be crazy, but they're not stupid. Joseph plans to save as many souls as possible whether they want to or not. Surely he would've figured out by now that it would be hard to get everyone on the Eden Train willingly through religion alone. What if he decided to plant a seed of doubt inside the unbelievers by giving them a reason to join them that they might actually believe? Some people wouldn't even being to think that God was going to end the world, but considering all the preppers in Hope County, there must be some people paranoid about something happening. So what if he used their fear of a man-made appocalypse to get them to join them?

This just further cements my belief that the "Resist Ending" is a Bliss hallucination. He did dump two big barrels of the stuff on us right beforehand, and we were suddenly fighting him in the eye of a hurricane, which then cleared up as soon as we defeat him, followed by a nuke, and another nuke. Not to mention the fact that when we're driving to Dutch's bunker, a second nuke goes off so close to us that it causes our screen to have a white flash. I'm sorry, but if a nuke actually hit that close to us, then we would be blinded instantly at the least. More realistically, we'd be set ablaze and burn to death.

If someone else has figured this out, please tell me. My mind is screwed.

The cult would not be able to stop worldwide LW radio signals getting to Montana. All they could hope for is stopping communications going from Montana to the rest of the world.

Maybe there could have been a bit more back-story on this and how they achieved that, instead of just Dutch saying it. Good point.

I came up with same bliss hallucinations theory in my quest to help UBISOFT with an easy fix for the ending. If you watch the ending, Joseph summons the storm before he even dumps the barrels... hes already able to cause hallucinations with bliss already in your system.
I like to think that you wake up the next day and Joseph is now sitting motionless in Dutch's bunker, a prisoner in his own mind. On the drive to collect him news coverage indicates that the nuclear threat is de escallating as peace talks are back on. Everybody celebrates as Only You starts playing... UBISOFT

The story is a discombobulated mess. great shooter but mixed up story. That's my theory.
