You are able to grind more points, than the timebonus gives. This will take much time, but it is doable.

This would not happen, if excessive time used would give negative points.

Agreed. I beat someone earlier by more than 15 seconds, yet still lost because they just stayed at one ramp doing flips over and over again. I like the concept, but the formula for victory gives far too much weight to the tricks. It's also extra annoying because to combat that kind of thing, you have to resort to the same tactics, and then you wind up getting 50-100 gold as prize money because you can't get better than a bronze medal.
