Stop adding stuff to Ghost War and start fixing the main game first!
I have been playing GRW since open beta and have noticed problems from the start. Now there are some problems that have been fixed in previous updates but there are also problems that are still here even after a YEAR the game has been released. Ubisoft, PLEASE stop making stuff for Ghost War and first focus on fixing the problems in the Main game. Not everyone is playing PVP all the time, most of us who bought the game, bought it because of the campaign not PVP.
I'll try to list as many issues that the main game has since day one. Please Ignore any spelling mistakes I made in the process of writing this.
- TIER ONE MODE
this seems to be plastered on without any real investigation on how it works with systems already in the game. From tier 20 and below the game becomes almost unplayable. The enemy spots you in 1 second and they gun you down in the next second. Even if you know (tagged) that an SINGLE enemy is coming around a corner they will spot and shoot you before you can even react. The guys with the double uzi are the ones that need a SERIOUS nerf to their accuracy and damage.
Your team (with EVERY upgrade in the skill tree) does nowhere near de damage, or have the same accuracy as the enemies have in tier 20 and below, this is just NOT right. I understand that Tier One mode has been added for more challenge but this stuff is getting rediculous. Now some might say that it's all about stealth but in 50% of the missions this is not possible. You have location defense missions that start out loud, you have radio missions that start out loud, you have chase missions that start out loud and with tier 20 and below these missions are infuriating to say the least. They see you faster, shoot you GODLY fast and accurate that no human being could pull off IRL.
I believe that tier one mode needs a second look. Nerf the enemies and buff your team's effectiveness and increase the Tier point gain aswell because leveling after tier 20 is incredibly and insanely slow.
- TEAM AI
Oh my god I'm trying so hard right now to stay calm. The intelligence of your team AI is worse then a stack of bricks. They take forever to come and revive you and revivng itself takes forever aswell even with all the skill points. They take a long time to take down 2 -3 enemies (that seems to ALWAYS only have eyes for you and ignore your team) and it results in you as the player of getting shot at.
Doing those "breach" missions where you have to blow the door and get to the server in a fixed amount of time is a hell to play. Your team does not go inside even if you give them the command to do so (having the "move there" field inside the building) and running in first is getting you killed quicker then you can say "I'm inside".
Sometimes they don't even move. I have had multiple moments where one of my team just refused to move at all, just standing near a rock, car or helicopter and no matter how many times you give the order to "move there" or "rally on me" they just don't move or fight along side you.
Then there are times where you make an ambush for a supply truck and you plan everything perfectly. you block the road, you set up your team on a higher position and you stop the truck with an EMP drone. You start firing on the escort cars and your team?? well they do nothing. you HAVE to order them to fire which is infuriating to do because of the clunky way you give orders (command wheel + Scrolling or F1 - F4). So you have to juggle stating alive and commanding your team at the same time.
They also mess up your stealthy operations. They are spotted and with missions you are now allowed to be spotted, they fail your mission. Same goes for air drops. If you want to air drop in a base and you landed perfectly and stealthy on a roof inside the camp then your team is just spawned RIGHT SMACK IN THE MIDDLE of the F-ing base. and they just walk casually to your possition giving no F's about the enemy that are there. They need to be 100% invisible to the enemy UNLESS they fired their weapon because they are too stupid to go the stealthy path and bypass enemies around them.
Then there is the last thing about team AI... Why the hell are they shooting at the supply truck. No matter where you place them for some reason they just like to shoot the supply truck. They even say " the supply truck is taking too much damage" while THEY are the ****ers who shoot at it. Please Ubisoft fix their AI and make them quicker, more responsive and more usable. If that is so much to ask then give us a optional choice of removing them and change the squad skill tree in something that are perfect for lone wolves. How they are now is just maddening and they are worthless other then the stealthy sync shots.
- TIER ONE REWARDS
what is the point of going through tier one mode and collecting all the rewards when the best rewards are given at the end of the freakn game? When you finally unlock the Bad News or certain weapons skins or cosmetic items the game is over and you have grind the **** out of all the missions to finally get to the game, for nothing. It would be a different story if all the rewards are account bound and not characer locked. that way when you start a new character you atleast can you the weapons that you have EARNED. They are useless if you give them at the end of the game when all missions are already done multiple times.
- SAM LAUNCHERS
Those SAM launchers are still annoying AF. You have to do those missions to extract someone or bring those suplly helicopters or planes and they get shot out of the sky. Even if you take all the time to destory all the SAM launchers in the area they are back up before you even reach the plane/chopper. What is the point of that?? You need to either fly 900+ meters in the air so they don't spawn or you need to scratch off the paint of your bird with the roads and rocks so they dont target you!
This could EASILY be fixed in one of 2 ways:
* make the SAM launchers (that are destroyed) respawn when you leave the PROVENCE, but as long as you are in the same provence they stay destroyed.
or
* Add a new option/skill to helicopters and planes where you can deploy flares to avoid getting hit by the rockets. This would then have a skill based effect where the player needs to learn and train when to deploy them. Too late and the explosion radius will still effect you, too soon and the rockets will bypass the burned out flares and go straight towards you.
How the SAM launchers are now are just way too annoying for me to consider doing those suplly missions where SAM launchers are in the area.
- NO TIER POINTS FOR VEHICLE KILLS
If you are in Tier One Mode and you shoot down a helicopter or car with your weapon you do NOT get ANY experience or tier points whatsoever. It doesn't matter if you use snipers, Assault rifles, grenade launchers etc. if you explode the vehicle with enemies inside you dont get anything for your perfect executed efforts. Why is that? Tiers points are rewarded already extremely slow and its a real annoying grind to get down the tier mode from 20 and below so why don;t we get tier points for vehicle destruction. Last I checked there are 4 people in those choppers and cars and they died because of me, so I should be getting the exp for it.
Why do I have to wait till the car stops and the people exit the vehicle for me to get the exp for the kills (helicopter stay in the air so you never get exp from them)?
So, Ubisoft.. These are some of the most annoying problems and bugs the game has SINCE DAY ONE and has never been fixed. I ask you again to PLEASE stop adding new stuff to PVP and first focus on fixing your main game. make it more streamlined and more enjoyable to play before you are adding new stuff to other parts of the game. I know that pvp is where the money is now for you guys but common, you can;t just abandon the main game without fixing it and expect us to be fine with it while you create and sell new DLC for PVP.
Please Ubisoft.. Fix and adjust the main game so that we Campaign players can enjoy the game just as much as the PVP-ers can in Ghost War. We deserve the same treatment.
PS. If you are going to work on the main game and fix these issues then maybe, just maybe you can remove those useless bars from the weapon stat and give us something we can actually use and rely on.
I hope other people on this forum do agree with me. please let me (and most importantly Ubisoft) know what you want to have fixed in the game. This post is not about new features but about fixing or re-evaluating how things work now to this date.
