pc boy, you do not like the budget limit ??? then GO to the game engines! and if you stay here then play by the general rules and do not cry. However, you want some creators to be limited, and you do not, just because you could buy an expensive pc. You want one creator to be constrained more difficult to achieve an impressive result and you easier because you are on the PC. If you want it, then you have zero talent. We have one gaming site in my country and constantly published only pc maps from fc3 and fc4 because people on pc can put a bunch of everything on the map and make easy the map impressive, but put these people on the console rules and they can not do anything impressive because of the limit. And those who made maps on the console, and had more talent remained in the shadows because of the budget and their work was not published. I'm glad Ubisoft made everyone on equal terms, and now solves only talent!!!
Vika, most of the people complaining about the budget limit are doing so in regards to solo game play as it pertains to on their own system without uploading anything, so your own cry fit here doesn't make sense. Even so, if a company markets and sells a product to PC gamers, we expect a PC experience. If I wanted to be limited to a console's restrictions, I'd be playing on a console.
Incidentally... It's been a level field for the past 10+ years. Maps in Far Cry 2, 3 and 4 had to pass validation to get uploaded... So you might want to revisit that whole idea that "pc guys overshadow the console guys because they have no limit" and realize you just slammed all your console mapping buddies face-first into the dirt.
Ouch.
If the console version isnt as good as the pc version then it should be cheeper why should pc player get more for the same price, why should the pc get the superior version and pay the same price if you want a special pc experience the you should pay more! The budget is plenty big enough, ive made maps the size of the full map packed with objects and thats on the console version, ps3 version too with plenty of budget left over. @ Vikagz8o6 no need to start a flame war dont post a thread moaning at people just because they want a bigger budget why dont you respond to said pc boys who are aperently crying! I hardly think they are crying! Just voicing there opinion respond to them face to face instead making a seperate thread about it.
"most of the people complaining about the budget limit are doing so in regards to solo game play as it pertains to on their own system without uploading anything" - But this does not prevent them from showing their maps to the world - getting to gaming sites eclipsing the maps of other creators who do not have such a budget You and so have a better graphics include 4k resolution. But you want more and more. Maybe then you will start to demand that you have a map of the terrain larger than on consoles, and complete destructibility because your pc allows it. Vika....This entire post is pointless and can encourage a flame war...which is apparently what you want. The past farcry editors allowed a very large/infinite budget for pc, so of course people may be upset that fc5 has a budget on pc, me included. Your argument is toxic and invalid, by my opinion at least. Nobody should be happy about either platform being worse than the other Play the console/platform you want to play and leave it at that.
We're not getting more game content; extra missions; longer story; better voice acting... the PC is simply capable of doing more with what's already there. And that's in no way to say console mappers are any less capable of making awesome maps. I've seen dozens of ps4 and xbox1 maps I'd love to play. So the idea of creating a cross-platform system is a good idea. The problem lies in that Ubisoft has more or less made it mandatory rather than optional. That's where people start to complain. If you invested in new car but were told it could only drive as fast as your neighbor's bicycle because you share the same road, you'd probably be annoyed too. It's the system doing less, not the game doing more for certain people. And it's not as if PC gamers are asking for anything that hasn't already been available in previous versions of the game. The difference is that Ubi took away something that was working fine and in no way influenced the maps shared online.Originally Posted by Vika92806 Go to original post
As for being jealous of something someone else has... dude, that's something you'll need to work out for yourself. I can't afford all the things I'd like, but I budget for what I want and work to get what I can. I built my gaming rig because my laptop died right before xbox 1 launched. I knew I wanted the xbox, but I needed a computer for my job. I definitely couldn't afford both, so I combined the two and built a gaming PC. As it happens, I got Far Cry 3 free with the gpu (which I already owned on 360), and when I got to recreate my maps with literally hundreds of bots... well, it was awesome! Now we have this new edition, with new features, and new settings, and I simply can't fathom why they would take away the ability to play maps locally that are over budget.
I did not want flame war I just got angry again when a man on this forum made a post and called my platform garbage and called my way to achieving the goal of garbage. But it does not just happen on this forum. I was constantly provoked by people who had pc when I was creating maps on fc4. When I showed my maps in one group there were a lot of pc fans who started to humiliate my map. For example, I made sand as if a sandstorm hit the city so that I did not have to make roads and I could give the budget for the buildings. But pc fans did not understand this and begin to humiliate my map for the way that I chose "hey take this ****ty sand out or you're too lazy to make roads and put a lot of cars and pedestrians" and when I tell them that the reason in the budget on the consoles, they begin to humiliate my platform. AND I do not appeal to all who are on the PC, but only to those who do not respect others and call their platform - garbageOriginally Posted by TheSlimReeper Go to original post![]()
Sorry you had a bad experience with some pc mappers, but not all pc players are like that! There are plenty of pc players who give posotive feedback on this forum, and i might say that some pc players have been impressed with some of the console maps considering the budget limits, we need to all stick together!
Just ignore the guys who were making fun of your map, which group did that happen in? btw all the best builders are on console anyway.Originally Posted by Vika92806 Go to original post
