Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on this idea.

I hate regenerative health, and I really appreciate that Ghost War has actual health bars instead. I’d like to see this health system added to the main game via a new difficulty setting, similar to how GRAW had an “Original Ghost Recon” difficulty in which you’d die in a single hit. Call it “Hardcore” or something, and have the enemy AI function as per Extreme, but use the health bars for human players.

Combined with no HUD, this would really crank up the enjoyment factor for those who enjoy more mil-sim type games, or the original Ghost Recon.

I think this would be a good addition because Extreme is still fairly forgiving, whereas Tier 1 gives you literally no chance of survival should you be detected, making it a far more stealth-oriented difficulty setting. An option to use health bars would promote tactical play while still giving you a fighting chance, but require you to stay cautious after the initial fight in case you’re injured and in search of a resupply box to replenish your health.
