The sexual harassment and sexist comments towards female players are getting is ludicrous. Nothing seems to be done about this, is this how Ubisoft wants their image to be? These comments are daily....forget daily..HOURLY. If something is not done, these screens along with many others will be spread across various social networks because something needs to be done. and fast.
It's embarassing to other players, the community, the game, and especially the company.
Reporting players obviously does not do a thing.
PLAYERS:
<Redacted>
Unfortunately reporting obviously does not do a single thing. We should not be forced to turn off a feature of the game because of other players abusing and breaking the games rules.
Having to mute the player also means that sexist / sexual harassment has already been initiated, does not change the fact that it is still happening without anything being done to those players.
@ mckrackin5324 I agree that the best course of action is to turn off the chat, but that begs the question: should someone be forced to do that just because of their gender?
I don't experience anything like this myself, but I do use area chat to talk to other people. It's a pretty useful tool. I don't think that someone should have to turn it off because others are being childish / ignorant / offensive. Voice comms are tough to nail down, as i assume that there is no record, but there is a clear record of someone saying something in chat (like these screenshots). Shouldn't something be done to stop it?
Totally agree OP it's about time Ubisoft brought their banning system of toxic players from Rainbow six siege to the Division.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j7Qjv7AvEE (this last video is a response to an angry toxic player who has been banned) The devs checked his chat log then perma banned him
There are plenty of video's on this so why don't they implement it into The Division it needs it.
To be honest i'm way above these players calling me anything they want but the sexist/homophobic/racial slurs et-al shouldn't be tolerated .
I'm just waiting on an episode of Black Mirror where the abuse of the anonymity of the internet is provided with an actual some-what immediate consequence (like being summoned to do community service or government officials coming to the home of the abuser or a family member and legally break their arms and legs or something), if an episode like that hasn't already happened (I don't watch the show, but knows what it demonstrates.)
The best thing I can say is to just turn off the in-game world chat and Whispers. Unfortunately, you cannot have Whispers on while also blocking Whispers from those who are not on your friends list. It's not sexual, but I get harassed in Call of Duty all the time. "You're a hacker", "You're a c-word" "N-word" But that comes with being good, unfortunately. :P People aren't able to accept the fact that they are getting s***ed on, so they have to resort to belligerence and other blasphemies.
Last but not least, I did notice that you were responding to the person(s) during the moment. You providing them attention allowed them to continue on with their nonsense. There is some fault that needs to be taken on your end as well, but at the same time as you pointed out, Massive / Ubisoft is at fault as well. Also at the same time, "online interactions are not rated by the ESRB."
Also, the mods are either gonna close the thread or remove the pictures and names because of the name and shame rules.
The issue is not gender specific and I guess I'm just a little tired of the women's rights movement while simultaneously claiming they are delicate little things that need special protection.Originally Posted by randomtesseract Go to original post
Yes,it's a **** situation but those idiots would be talking **** no matter who was on the other end.
Toxicity is bad and I don't care if it's aimed at males or females.
