[PC]Game was purchased on steam but wont activate on uplay | Forums

My friend bought For Honor on steam during the free weekend. However when he launches it after the free weekend the game requests a key of activation which he dosent have as the game was bought through steam.

OK I have the same problem as DJ7R Can't launch the game at all...When I try to verify it..it is asking for a key on uplay...bought it trought steam tho...

Hi there! If Uplay asks for a key, but you own the game through Steam, you may want to try these steps here. This FAQ also provides a work around for that error message.
If you are still being prompted for a key, please make a ticket with proof of purchase for your copy of FH. Thanks!
