Best in slot for Last Stand in 1.8

Apologies if this has been answered before but:

if i try out some high end pieces such as sculls or savage gloves or maybe a barretts chest will they be normalised to the same level as classified pieces?

I'd like to try out some high end builds in last stand but if they don't get up to the same level as the meta builds such as pred and striker then there isn't much point ?

also could anyone give me some pointers on which builds they've found to be the best in Last stand ? as I want to spend some time in there and I'm quite **** at PVP so any help i can get would be most appreciated, thanks

Yes, but only in Last Stand / Skirmish

It's not about what's the best.

    It's more about if you're not using Striker's, then you're f******.

First off well done for trying pvp. Hopefully you will find the majority of games there as enjoyable and fairly balanced as I did.

Secondly...... as someone who is predominantly a pve player, most pvpers will have more time pvping this game than I have lifetime hours pvp, its where i learned how to pvp (if you can call it that)

Basically as Merphee said.... it 6p striker with a bit extra stamina to take care of normilsation. Anything else and you will struggle unless you play in a group of 4 with defined roles, and comparable knowledge/experience as those you are up against. Which for the most part wont make a difference. Ive played a pve reclaimer for instance and barely got 1 or 2 kills a game. Though my teams won quite convincingly depending on the map/other players.

If however you want to just try other builds:

4x piece AB + 2x piece PM is pretty good. However I play 10k stamina so rely on other players (w/ DPS) to get most of the kills. I basically act as a bullet sponge.

6xp Nomad is pathetic for me. I play with 7k FA and 5k STA. Its okay in one v ones against average strikers or better than average players with nomad/preds. Its main draw back is that I never get more than 1 proc. Practically 99% of the time. In DZ or LS. Dont bother with it in Skm. And it takes too long to get the ability back. Alot of the times I dont even get the benefit of my revive link as Im being focused so much I lose it soon after my proc. Or for whatever reason ability procs and rev links fires simultaneously..... ^^

I prefer playing 3p Nomad + 2 piece tact + Ninja, to give me 1 life + rev link + faster heals.

4x piece PM + 2x piece FC. Its actually not bad.... but relies on you knowing how and when to cause the bleed and set the fire turret. If you dont force the opponent to use the med kits and immunizer when you want then youre toast. And thats without them having a dedicated healer.

6x piece PM for me is the best choice. Mainly cause of my poor aim but bc there are so many 6p strikers in the game. Its the strikers natural enemy but bc it suffers from no self-heal or poor self-heal with the right wpn talents you are at a disadvantage anyway against groups of players.

Remember though the choice of loadout depends on what aspect of LS you will be majoring in. PvE/ credit acculumation, may as well play Nomad tbh. If youre gona be going after the objectives or tactical boosts then Nomad or striker. If however you want to do your fair share of killing opponents then striker or pred. They have the offensive bonuses that the nomad doesnt have. Even one specced for offence.

However its pretty clear that striker is the choice of most players. Its a no brainer if you can keep your stacks up. Which with 8 human opponents is no problem. Esp. when they opponents are more likely to be grouped up. Fighting a lone striker is not the same as fighting a pack of them, or 3strkrs and 1 nomad / 1 pred./ 1 healer / 1 shield guy or combo thereof. Most of the time the team with that group will win, if the other players in that team do the "tactical" stuff!

I have luck with 6pc alpha...to me its great with a house and another gold sub, it gives the house a 4th talent, Thats Nasty!
Mine has deadly, responsive, card counter, and share unforgiving.
    Run it at 7500FA, 5500ST
    With a pulse and booster
Around 40%chc and 120%chd it will hit extremely hard....Now pick your battles smart as your health is low.
Just an alternative if you dont have the house its not really worth it

    Thanks for the help guys,

I'm gonna try striker with some bias towards stamina then .. my main problem seems to be when i see a player i just stand there and try to face tank them which always fails and my situational awareness is abysmal as i tend to focus in on one player and inevitably another one will come up behind me a kill me.
