    better weapons on enemies?

Do enemies ever get better weapons or are they forever stuck with the basic assault rifle, pump gun and 1911? So far I haven't ranged far beyond John's area yet.

Enemies with better or more advanced weapons always cool....in any game! I like when enemies are stronger than me, in the game! I think it will be taken into consideration in Far Cry 6. And big main roads must be deadly dangerous for us, especially in the beginning. With strong posts and military checkpoints. Sneaking around the main roads, from point A to point B, must be our destiny.

I don't think you will see much beyond that, other than heavies getting M60s and Flame Throwers and a few Snipers getting RPGs. The run of the mill guys will always seemingly have the basic guns, and so will the resistance fighters too.

But honestly, the bow, 1911, and M60 can get you through 99% of the game......oh, and add the shovel, cause that is WAY overpowered when thrown, it can take out a heavy thrown. Only 2 guns do you actually have to buy to finish the game easily, SA50 and Spas flamer shotgun.....only other things to buy for your guns is silencer, and optics...spend you money on other stuff.
Bow should be on first island.
1911 should be on first island.
M60 can be found in supply trucks or someone said close to Dutch's island, but don't know where...google maybe knows.

Thanks for the reply. Mainly asked because I didn't want to waste money on unlocks if they end up getting dropped by enemies anyway. Sounds like I'll have to though. One more question: what area is recommended after finishing John's, Jacob or Faith? Dutch suggested Fall's End first as I assum e it is easier than the other two but doesn't seem to have any advice on where to go next.

I think it's intended to do basically John/Faith/Jacob. However it's easy to do each to the first level mark and thus free up weapons to the 3 levels requirements, if that's what one wishes to do.

I do recommend that the first three Dutch missions acquired once done with the tutorial be done early (by early, before building up too many RPs) for each region.

In many ways John's area is easiest. Boomer as a Fang for hire, aka companion highlights animals and enemies around you so it is free spotting.....almost to the point of making it too easy. I went Faith first time out, and didn't find it too hard, as I wanted Peaches for companion. Adelaide who is one of the other Hires in the area gives a chopper so this makes a powerful combo of air power and Peaches for stealth kills...but honestly, if you are halfway decent at shooters and stealth, then this game will be an easy play.

Best all around gun for the game....M60--add scope, silencer and extra mag size and you can do everything with it.
I like the 1911 pistol, add reflex/redot site, and silencer to it and it does all you need.
I bought SA50 whitetail edition with silver earned from game and community challenges and add scope and silencer.
I also bought the Spas 12 gauge shotgun flameout with silver, add red-dot/reflex, silencer and extra capacity.
Bow you can pick up on the island, add sites.

With the above guns you can do entire game....you don't actually need any others, the bow, m60, 1911 can all be gotten for free. So honestly the only real guns you need to spend money on are the SA50 and Spas, and those are only if you really want them. It is kinda sad how poorly the game is set up with guns, because you can have the best gun in the game within one hour of starting the game and never really have to shift off using it, except for personal preference or flavor of play....

Also of note: Any community challenge weapons won, silver, or silver bought weapons all carry over to any game you play, meaning if you restart, they will be available on that next play as if you bought them already....and silver will be in your store account.
