    Far Cry 6 Ideas

I realize Far Cry 5 has just come out (and I enjoyed it quite a bit), but the sooner ideas are posted before development on another begins, the better.

I've always felt Far Cry has had great combat, gunplay, and stealth mechanics, but also felt it could benefit from adopting more RPG elements from Fallout or Deus Ex, and allow players to get through situations through diplomacy instead of violence. This would not have worked in the past few Far Cry games because there were enemy factions, like cults and radicals, who would not have been turned by reason. This could be fixed by returning to a Far Cry 2 like setting, where there are multiple factions, but the player character begins neutral, and can either choose to work with, oppose, or manipulate the different factions.

One setting that could allow for this is a fictional country based on Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Yemen is fairly politically unstable country with inter-tribal conflicts, Saudi Arabian occupation, and foreign terrorist occupation. These different factions could allow for an interesting story and player options.

The player character could be an American or British journalist who becomes trapped in the country when a Coup occurs, and the new regime does not recognize the authority of foreign embassies. Additionally, the region is too unstable and dangerous for a rescue or evacuation. The player must find and rescue the members of the film crew and find a way to escape the country, but can video record events that occur between factions. The player can choose what events get broadcast to paint whatever picture of the conflicts they want to paint, or use the footages to persuade or manipulate the factions.

There would be a Deus Ex style dialogue system where the player must psychoanalyze a person and select the most effective persuasion tactics. The player can gain or lose trust with a faction based on their actions, i.e showing aggression, agreeing to carry out a mission, show or feign sympathy through dialogue, etc. Additionally, the player can choose whether their character actually sympathizes with a faction, simply uses a faction to achieve his or her own ends, or manipulate conflicts or induce peace between factions. Factions could include: CIA, Saudi Arabia-esque military (US allies, but questionable occupation in the country), two conflicting native tribes, and foreign occupying terrorist group like ISIS. The player chooses how they want to interact with each faction, and the story and endings would be affected by the choices.

The interactions with the factions will be what leads to either opportunities to escape the country, or ultimately choose to stay. Combat and stealth would largely remain the same, but there would be more emphasis on social interactions like in Fallout or Deus Ex.

Imagine having a large city based on Sanaa, Yemen in the South of the map, some villages, oases, desert, caves, and mountains regions scattered throughout, and a modern Dubai like city in the North of the map, with buildings to infiltrate, and rooftops to use the grappling hook, wingsuit, or parachute off of. I think that would be a cool setting.

What settings or ideas does anyone else have for the next Far Cry?

This may seem radical but my idea for a Far Cry 6 is a game released that works properly, Silly I know, but just imagine one that's been fully play-tested with most of the flaws ironed out. But it's not going to happen. You may as well wish for a spaceship to take you on a tour of the solar system - slightly better odds probably.

There will be never Deus Ex dialogue style system in Far Cry 6! Have you played Far Cry 5?! Game doesn't need that weird system - it gives nothing for a good shooter game...only headache! And forget about Far Cry 2! Don't live in the past! Game is moving further. Game increases speed!

    Far Cry idea 2020/2022

    FAR CRY
    HERITAGE

I wish that one day I'll see Citra's kid grown up fighting for his rights and even get a chance to get where his dad's/ 'Jason Brody and friends' originate from. Tracking back his family tree. It would be quite a luxury because on one hand he is the son of Jason and Citra. He will take over Citra's position and on the other hand he is a descendant of a rich family in a modern world. Maybe he'll leave Citra and his responsibility on the Island to go trace his father's roots because his mother murdered his dad. He might get back to improve living conditions on Citra's Island. He could even make a huge business out of this Island; linking the two 'countries' with tourists visits on the Island.

1- Maybe one of the tourists has evil purposes going on the Island and that might be the reason he'll go back. It's sad to bury these details like what happens next? maybe
Ubisoft will remaster the game in sight of this idea. All this to say that far cry 3 really gets me deep in the heart. It had such a good story.

2-Maybe he'll try to bind the two bloods together and Citra might even capture Jason's mother or father in fear of his son leaving her for good or in fear that the Brodys seek to make her pay for murdering their son.(like police vs Rakyats)
the son of Citra would have to bring down Citra's troops outpost by outpost and maybe he'll capture his mom and silence so that he can lead onto these troops so as to save his rich
    family members.
the Island would be more developed but still has a dense vegetation with more plant varieties from abroad.
the old mines would now be hiding drug stocks from a new vilain though part of which would be used for tourist attraction. The vilain might be the one ruling this
company secretly continuing hoyts work in the deep
. For the vilain story thing I don't have enough brain for this. I just want to see what happens to this kid because
    it's a
    heritage
    from FAR CRY 3

what I really liked about FC3 is the emotion and intense love life he had; friendship and lover. That's what completed this game for me.

3-Then what about the grown up kid finding true love during his trip to trace back the Brody's family because people are often attracted to things
they don't usually see. These are two different nations. And what about the Vilain capturing his girlfriend!
I would have written this game if I had resources to publish and release it lol.

That been said, KEEP UP with the good content Ubisoft.

It would be very interesting to see what happens post Far Cry 5 on this island, with Citra's kid as an adult. Like maybe the island is suddenly swamped with refugees from America or China, they'd be wealthy, they might have private armies, they might be rogue military who have disabled their GPS and called in fake distress messages about being attacked and going down, but now roam the lawless seas. It would be interesting if the madness of Vaas in Far Cry 3 is genetic or comes from the way the child is raised in that lunatic mysticism.
There's so much potential sitting there.

Here are some of my suggestions...

    - No pink guns! (I am looking at you, New Dawn!)

    - No neon pink/bright green/baby blue ANYTHING! (You again, New Dawn!)

    - Test your game before release! Make sure missions actually load and work properly, fix the broken checkpoint system, not to mention enemy spawning, do something about the terrible A.I., don't shove story missions down my throat... In fact, keep the story missions to a minimum. If you can't make it fun, at least make it short!

    - No god damn airplanes strafing me every 2 seconds!

    - How about making sure that the strategic situation on the game map actially changes as I capture outposts, perform side missions and kill enemy V.I.P.s. We had it in Far Cry 3 and it worked great. Why the hell did you try to fix something that wasn't broken?!

I love Far Cry franchise, I own every Far Cry game since Far Cry 3, but Far Cry 5 made such a huge step backward, it's mind boggling! I will not buy or play New Dawn, because it makes me sick just looking at it, but I will give Far Cry 6 a chance. If they want my money, they will have to put some real effort into it.

Either Australia, Brazil or somewhere in the middle east. I do think South America could be a very cool location for the next game. I think they should have the next map be like Just Cause 3. One section be Jungle, the next be desert, the next be snowy, and the other be plains.

China during the Cultural Revolution would be pretty interesting, though they'd have make survival a crucial game mechanic since FC has been survival starved since Primal.

I think the Middle East would be cool, that or Africa. Terrorist/warlord faction vs the local police/army. But even cooler would be Vietnam circa late 1960s. ARVN south Vietnamese troops protecting their land and people from the northern communists, with help from the Americans. Or alternatively the Philippines in ww2. Filipino guerillas fighting the Japanese invaders. I’d love to see that.

WWII, Korean war, or Vietnam would definitely give a reason to include tanks and different types of aircraft. Vietnam would be cool since you'd get to fight along side the ARVN and US army and travel back and forth between North and South Vietnam fighting the formal North Vietnamese Armed Forces and the informal guerrilla warfare fighting Vietcong. Korea would let you fight the North Koreans and Chinese, and WWII would let you fight the Germans, Japanese, and Italians.
