Hi all,
Just got back into the game again. Bought the game when it was released but almost didn't play after constant bad connections. Now everything is buttery smooth, is it because of the dedicated server?
Anyway, just now I can't start the game with Launch Error "Failed to start the game". I didn't do anything, except that my computer is on Windows 10 Insider fast ring program and I got an update to build 17661 just tonight. My For Honor is running from Steam, and all other Steam games run fine.
Is there a compatibility error with Windows 10 beta build 17661?
EDIT: YES, there is compatibility error build 17661. I just roll back to stable build (17134.5) and For Honor launches fine.
So I guess this is a warning to those who participates in the Insider program
Hey! Thanks for the update. Do you mind submitting your msinfo and dxdiag files for investigation? We'd like to look into this compatibility issue further![]()
So any fixes on this? It's over month now and For Honor has been given for free... Played beta and now since I got the game, wanted to check it out again. Oh how annoyed I am now since I found out it STILL doesn't work with Windows 10 Insider Preview builds
I am on 17686.rs_prerelease.180603-1447 and I cannot go back now (and probably would not just for ONE game)
How can you f**** up such a thing?
A bit OT but The Crew 2 is also kinda broken, constant hang ups, "app not responding" - not even one thing fixed since alpha - probably won't test open beta since you can't fix anything for a month...
This explains everything, ty. I'm on .180603-1447 the same. I guess insiders should wait for an update or something.

Hi guys! I also have Insider Preview and I was able to solve this problem. Just change the type of receiving updates on the skip ahead, and install them, and everything will work =)
P.S: Sometimes Skip ahead won't work. Take the instructions on how to change it. How to get skip ahead Windows 10
