Got to messing around with a quad. The quad is one thing that is improved over the old quads in previous Far Cry games. It is much more controllable, unless you bounce the front end up and can't steer.
Somehow I managed to hit a Mustang-ish car just right and spin it 180, then lucked out and hit the front bumper just right and spun it 180 again. Lucked out a third time and the fender came around and hit my quad leaving the car rolling forward again with hardly any loss in speed! Couldn't believe it.
Add the Magnopulsar to your inventory before going quad riding adds a lot of fun potential. You can knock riders right off their quad. Or use the Mag. to knock a quad loose from a place it is stuck in. I get one hung up on a fence and almost bounce it into the power lines getting off with the Mag.
Lots of other stunts, a good run on Clutch Nixon's track with the quad. It is a great track for the quad, but you really need the self repair perk to do it right. Then off a thousand foot cliff, barely get the wing suit out in time, weave down through the lodge pole pines, and follow a river valley for a ~mile long glide and parachute landing. The trick is to find a cliff with a lip that slopes upward. This will give you a good jump instead of racing down the cliff face at full throttle which doesn't turn out well usually. I make videos just for fun and sharing, not monetized. Enjoy!
Yeah, I hear you on that, especially the one in 3 & 4. This one, I suggest, trying. It handles a lot better than the old ones. Not nearly so wobbly and the handbrake maneuvers are fairly predictable. Suggest also trying the Razer, it's pretty indestructible and quick. Doesn't do donuts worth a heck though. But, ripping cross country with either is pretty addictive as long as you avoid creeks and such. Even if you do dump one, they are easy to get hold of.
Oh, I’ve used them and yes they’re slightly better than in previous games, but still far too twitchy for me. I also get irritated by the sound of the engine very quickly. It’s also something about trying to look around while driving that doesn’t feel right. In cars you can look around and still have a point of reference (window, dashboard, steering wheel) but on a quad there’s none. When I turn my head on a quad I’ve absolutely no idea which way I’m looking, which in turn means steering becomes guess work.
When videos of a game become more about showing random horsing around than it's missions, you know the developers have failed to make something with a compelling campaign or story.
Seems Ubi are trying desperately to stuff Far Cry into a GTA mold to increase it's fanbase to include young hooligans. "Cha ching" is the only sound they really respond to anymore.
