    ▓▓TESTED▓▓ Poor connection higher ping players highly compensated

    I understand Lag compensation and that it is greatly needed in each multiplayer online game to run correctly. I'm not understanding the ratio at which this game compensates higher ping / rtt players to a extreme point ( nearly .5 seconds in some cases! ) Been testing this alot lately . For example when I play on my east coast servers with my normal 22m or so average ping I will get no lag comp and notice alot of out of region players get a huge one and I stand no chance. But when I throttle my connection vpn to Brasil and get into the 150ish ping range I start to absolutely stomp the same players on the same server ... this is very discouraging as I have done this several times with the same result kinda throwing me into the whole question of skill in this game and who is actually good or who just lag comps.

    We need a server browser with all players' pings displayed.
    Maybe even a ping limiter in Skirmish and Last Stand.

    This has only been around since the beginning of online PvP games.

    I think some gamer servers try to normalize it ... but not sure if that is a good idea or not.

    I dunno, I just hope for a good ping time.


    The old FC2 used to match up ping speeds, if I remember.

    region locks or ping locks would be great. I know its always been around and is absolutely neccesary for online gaming. I think the way some servers handle the lag compthough is a bit extreme and in the wrong direction.

    Yep, its crazy the player with the good ping gets the shaft in this game or any game for that matter. def need region locks.

    It's really crazy you have kids that know this and intentionally take advantage of it then put other players down.

    Yep, exactly why players with crappy ping should all be on the same server playing crappy together.

    Isn't Skirmish / Last Stand region locked in Australia resulting in empty lobbies or something? I thought I've read that on the forums before.

    I think region locking is only worth it in P2P games, like fighting games. Division just needs better, dedicated servers.
