I understand Lag compensation and that it is greatly needed in each multiplayer online game to run correctly. I'm not understanding the ratio at which this game compensates higher ping / rtt players to a extreme point ( nearly .5 seconds in some cases! ) Been testing this alot lately . For example when I play on my east coast servers with my normal 22m or so average ping I will get no lag comp and notice alot of out of region players get a huge one and I stand no chance. But when I throttle my connection vpn to Brasil and get into the 150ish ping range I start to absolutely stomp the same players on the same server ... this is very discouraging as I have done this several times with the same result kinda throwing me into the whole question of skill in this game and who is actually good or who just lag comps.
Yep, exactly why players with crappy ping should all be on the same server playing crappy together.Originally Posted by DroIic- Go to original post
Isn't Skirmish / Last Stand region locked in Australia resulting in empty lobbies or something? I thought I've read that on the forums before.Originally Posted by DroIic- Go to original post
I think region locking is only worth it in P2P games, like fighting games. Division just needs better, dedicated servers.
Here is a video from 2 years ago with a guy analyzing the Division netcode and lag compensation.

I was hoping for him to retest the "netcode" when update 1.8 dropped.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
