    Arcade is dead now

Any new map are stored now in a hidden area, so nobody will play it....

    IS ARCADE DEAD?

Is there anybody who cares about this?

The editor was the only reason to buy this game, in this conditions its senseless to create maps

And yeah i know i wil never ever get my money back!

    Hello Wangtze123,

the new maps that end up in the "workshop" category are simply maps that haven't got enough work put into them. If you republish a mpa without making significant changes, the system will consider your map is not developped enough to be playable. this is why it is not visible.
Just keep working on your map, and it will end up in Arcade

Ok understand thanks. It sounds a bit strange for me, cause my map from scratch (a Deathmatch map) was pretty complete and well developed but stored in the workshop area. So I wondering why. Would be also nice to have this information in a guide or so.

    Hello Ubi-JollyCharly,

Please tell me why the map "1" from yl208 is good enough to publish but my map "offshore oil rig" isn't? I really don't understand why my map is inside the workshop area please explain it to me I really wanna understand the difference.

Everybody else can also compare both maps and come bacjk with feedback.

    Cheers

TP if you save as new when saving a map, the timer to be in workshop is reset. So for example, if you finish a map, and then decide to rename it, your map will show up in the work shop. Just spend some more time tweaking it to make it over that time hurdle and don't change the name or save as new.

Do the republished maps go onto Arcade even if the the original author is someone else? I mean if someone does no work to a map at all, they download someone elses work, then uploads it as their own work, does that automatically go into workshop since they have put zero effort into making the map?

@DeutscherDonner: in addition to spending some time making your map (which is actually performing a certain number of actions, like adding things, sculpting the terrain, modifying settings etc), you also need to not have certain things in your map:
    - the default texture in any of the texture slots
    - the Invincible or Infinite Ammo modifiers

So, if you work on your map for a while (and perform the minimum number of actions), if you don't save it with another name (Save As), if you don't have the default texture and the listed modifiers, then your map should not go into Workshop.

@Rio: yes, if you download someone else's map (or even one of your own) and then load it up in the Editor, it will be treated as a "new" map, so, if you directly Publish it, it will go into the Workshop.
