    What a lot of people don`t realise is that you can get the 6DOF effect a little with standard TIR1! this is because BOb allows you to map the side-stepping lean effect to your keys. So I mapped `lean left` and `lean right` to my spare left hand joystick and my standard zoom forward on my main stick.

    Now it`s rather amazing experience to be flying past a dozen HE111s in my spitfire, open the canopy, stick my head out and actually see the side of my aircraft and view the enemy bombers clearly. Dangerous but what a buzz! You can almost feel the wind on your face! Oh and the added outside noise of the engine and nearby bombers add much to that too!

    IL2 cockpits feels very constrained after that, even the ones that allow you to open the `pit.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

    Just as a thought, dont you guys think COntrails in the game is a great idea?!?

    I hope we have them in SOW BOB, that way there would be much less 'dot chasing'.

    Both sides would see the enemyfrom much further away, leading to finding planes by eye, rather than only seeing a dot when it gets very close, or using icons, or using the F6 padlock key. <div class="ev_tpc_signature">

    I find the default external noises in WoV are even louder than Il-2. Is there a way to lower them or turn them off?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

    Hm, the only time I notice external noise in BOB2, F_IV, is when I am nearly being rammed, or a friendly squadronmate is perilously close to me. I can fly by a vee of bombers and hear only my own engine. The only way I know there is an enemy shooting at me is if (1) I spot him, or (2) I hear the tinny "ting ting" of hits on my airplane. No Maddox "rattatattatat" of enemy guns.

    Mind you, my card is only an SB Audigy 2 I think the issue is more that I haven't found the right settings yet. One of the great things about it is just how many tweaks can be made to WoV.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

    I am going to check right now, once again. The clip seems to be getting much more ambient noise from the target 109 than I get, but I'll double check to be certain.

    I must say I hold that game in my hands everytime I see it in the shelves. Considering I have 6DOF now and how this can be used in BOBII, I guess it'll land on my HDD after all.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

    damage model is bad, overal is not good. terain is again this digitalising thing, which is 10years old techniqe to a terain to be made,
    they had some opportunitybecause they saw il2, so the modification of this bob should be more profesional. but it looks, like a qiuck cosmetic upgrade, to earn at least some money...

    but! the landing is very real. the feeling from landing manouver, is much more better like in il2. lqanding sound and landing model is very good. also smoke stripes after bullets are done in some way better like in il2.

    hmm actualy is this sim out, to be compared with il2. il2 is in a far, far higher level.
